In our family Labs are known as "mangetout"! :-)) I'm sure she'll find some free-range town fodder to supplement her diet!! Trash cans, street mice...
Oh dear, I'm not sure I want to think of those baby bunnies while I'm having my breakfast....... eeeuch! :-(
I always hope people think its a typo when I flub. However I don't have the same luck as you do. My lab eats mice whole and alive-glump, glump it is a sight to see that I try hard to avoid. She also does the same with baby bunnies however since Dad died she has had to move to town to live with me - no mice and no baby bunnies that she can get to.
Whoop, whoop, typo warning... "smelled".
My excuse is it's 01:20 and I should be in bed!!
Moonpanther, I was just out walking Freddy ( big black Briard, aka my avatar) and also picking filberts, which are like hazelnuts, when I saw him just snoozing there. And ,canoekaw, I put my hand in a poo bag to pick him up in case his mum smelt human off him. She might still have been bit confused as the poo bags are scented....oops!! :-))
The little guy might have been ill. I hope you washed your hands. Thanks for moving him.
Yes, he's definitely alive!! I had a good firm hold of Freddy and I think he didn't even realise it was (whisper) edible! I picked him up and put him in the long grass as there are a lot of sparrowhawks and buzzards around here. He just twitched and went on snoozing!! :-)
AHHHH, but, he didn't even MOVE, are you sure that he was, um, ok? Freddy just nuzzled him? Maggie would have poked him until he woke up and then chased him all over. What a cute little photo!!!
This baby doormouse was sleeping right on the roadside (bottom right corner is the painted white line!) He didn't even budge when Freddy nuzzled him!
