Thanks for the comments everyone. I can't even imagine seeing one of these beautiful birds in the wild, as they should be. It must be a treat. We have small green parrots here in FL that were once pets and have since become part of the habitat with huge flocks forming everywhere. They are extremely noisy too but I love the sound of wild birds and love seeing them at my feeders.
Definitely a very pretty parrot. - Wendy
Lovely thanks Rayna, we used to feed these out of our hands when we visited our daughter in Bonogin Forest on the Gold Coast of Australia☺♥
I could do without the noisy part, but the beauty? Bring it on!
Lovely picture and comment @Fowly I also have rainbow lorikeets in my garden. They love the gum trees. Cheers Yolanda
The noisy, beautifully coloured Australian Rainbow Lorikeet. I have many in my garden, cheeky birds, I was standing on my balcony with my hands on the railing, two of these birds flew over, sidled along the rail and started to nibble my fingers. As they have large, strong beaks, I didn’t leave my hands there for long.
