I tried putting out orange slices for the orioles, but never got any. I only got dried up orange slices.
Thank you, Maryrob & Bloorox. Laurajane, I love Wildbirds Unlimited, and usually they have better regional information than any birdbook. Maybe there's one near you. Good luck with the Waxwings. I love Orioles, too, they're both such beautiful birds.
Great photo, Tex! Thank you!
That is a good website, tex. Thank you. I have a crab apple, but it is overtaken by robins in the fall, stripping off the berries. Sigh. I will have to see if I can plant a nice winterberry bush, or something similar. I want to attract waxwings and also orioles. I have neither.
Gorgeous TS,thank you.
Thank you, Robryan! Glad you like them.
LJ, they like berries, and these are possumhaw I'm the wrong one to ask, since I've hung suet and seed/berry bells in my back and have had not one bird, but lot of squirrels! Here is a little snippet that Wildbirds, Unlimited had in one of their publications, and they're usually right on the money. Do you know how I can attract these to my yard? They are beautiful birds.
Thanks, Lyndee & GNT. We usually get these for a short time in Feb each year. You're most welcome, PLG!! Good to see you.
Wow! Perfect! Thank you, TS!
very nice pic texas
Very nice puzzle Tex. I don't think we have these where I live.
Thank you, Bentley, Jana & Warbler. I love these colorful birds, and they sure are fun to watch when they eat the fermented berries and get drunk!
A really sharp photo, Tex. One of my favorite birds. Thank you.
It's beautiful, it reminds me of fall and I'd rather spring :-))) Thank you very much tex :-)))
A beautiful puzzle, its cute the way he holds the berry in his mouth. Thanks Tex:-))
