When we were kids we made Bologna pizza....Fry the bologna and butter a piece of bread and fry it in the skillet...then we put ketchup, oregano and a slice of cheddar cheese on it and let it melt and get nice and gooey. I still love that ;0)

You really can teach an old dog new tricks. Had fried Lebanon bologna sandwiches for lunch today. Chalk one up for Dave. Delicious! Thanks for the idea. :-)

Doing my happy dance while salivating!

"seems a shame to fry it"!??! I'll let that slide since I'm feeling in a good mood. Thanks everybody, D

We just love Lebanon bologna (have a pound of it in the refrig), but have never had it fried. We like it best smeared with cream cheese and rolled up like a cigar. It makes wonderful hors d'oeuvres to take a dish. Everyone just gobbles them right up. Seems a shame to fry it, but maybe we'll try it since you say it's so good.

Looks positively yummy! I've never had the pleasure of trying this bologna....but it sure does look good! (I think I'm a tad envious!)

Oh yeah you know it Merrie. I will assume you treat it properly and fry it? It can be made w/out frying but that doesn't let it reach its full potential ya know. Thanks Merrie have good Sunday, D

Please excuse the 'slow' time...I had to stop several times to wipe the drool off my mouth...lol Oh, yes, I know Lebanon Bologna...it is something I bring home almost every time I visit PA. I will have to wait until Thanksgiving for the next run up there.
