Carol66 7 February 2020 Jaklien, I cannot resist telling you this: MANY, MANY years ago (seems most of my stories start that way these days). I wanted a horse...my parents said I must learn about having a horse and the responsibilities. I was send to a riding school and instructed by a lady I called "the horse -itch"......we learned about horses from the "bottom" up........to this day I can still identify horse droppings as to whether they were grass fed, grain fed, type of hay etc. Sadly, it is not something that comes in handy these days. Sigh. ;) Jaklien 7 February 2020 "deer droppings" oh no! That's too much for me :-( Carol66 7 February 2020 Lol........not as good as my yard lady she can tell the difference between "deer droppings". ;) Jaklien 7 February 2020 After observing for a while you become a true connoisseur, don't you? Carol66 7 February 2020 This doe and two others spent the day. They were "strangers". I have several deer I can distinguish by their markings.............so. I knew this group were "visitors" (or perhaps newneighbors?). Jaklien 7 February 2020 The only animals that walk or fly in my garden are cats and birds. A deer? I cannot imagine that. That must be really nice. Carol66 7 February 2020 Irisriver, I love them. They are welcome in my yard anytime! I feel privileged to enjoy them. They are very savvy about "humans" and seem to instinctively know if you may be a danger. irisriver 6 February 2020 What a cool sight! grins!☺ calluna 1 February 2020 I'll take this guys over the little ones any day! LOL :-)) Carol66 1 February 2020 Sally, LOL. yarnover 1 February 2020 We call them giant aphids! calluna 1 February 2020 Hired! Hilarious....and so sweet. :-)) Carol66 31 January 2020 Eileen, Dusty and Jorgee, stay warm. We are having RAIN, RAIN, and more RAIN. Did I say RAIN?Impie, there were 3 of them yesterday. They were kind of "newbies"......I can recognize the markings on many of my visitors. I don't feed them. Lots of vegetation to keep them fat.Calluna, fortunately, I have no garden and they act as unpaid shrub trimmers. calluna 31 January 2020 Charming sight! Wouldn't mind having them visit, even though I know they can really damage a garden. :-) Impie 31 January 2020 Great they have your yard for hanging out.....he or she looks well fed! Do you feed them too? dustydog 31 January 2020 Your snow is gone! : ) Alas, we are still knee-deep in the stuff! Got up to 23 degrees, with light fog.Might get some freezing drizzle, or freezing fog, or whatever. Dusty : ) Why this advertisement?
