Sure would love to know what kind of paint they used, and also, these plants have to be in containers, right? But the top yellow tire just looks like a lot of soil in it??? I have a spare tire in the shed, and guess what??? Next spring is coming, and I'm gonna plant it right in it's own space in one of my gardens! Thanks Carol! I love this!

That's a great way to recycle tires, and so colourful.

Maybe it's that spray paint that is special for painting plastic. I've never tried it, but maybe that would work. It's a neat idea; looks better than old black tires.

I was really slow on this one but enjoyed it. Love the idea but wonder how you keep paint from peeling off of tires. Did they use a special primer?

Hi mdcooper! I do not know the kind of paint.....bet your paint store could tell you. At first I did not realize they were tires either. The idea is growing on me for this year's herb garden. :) I will ask my DinL if she knows what kind of paint and post it here if she knows.

What a difference a little paint makes--couldn't tell right away those containers were tires. What kind of paint?
