I love the reflection too, & it helps show that the castle was built for looks & not from necessity to defend the country & its lands. I also love how the sharp squareness of the castle's architecture contrasts beautifully with the soft lines of the lake & trees.
Thank you all for your comments. I'm glad I found this castle & its interesting history, & that I can share it with you, my Jigidi friends. Kylemore Castle has the advantage of being fairly new, built in 1867 as a romantic gift, the castle & its grounds are steeped in history & tales of tragedy, romance, engineering initiatives and royal visits. It became home to a community of Benedictine Nuns in 1920 and has since become well known as a place of spirituality and education.
