I've enjoyed reading about all of your great memories! Thanks everyone!! :)
Awesome memories.. :) Grins.. We still got a drive in, just been too hot to go.
Cannot remember the price of cokes, but when I was in high school, at a time when most students did not have cars, we would cram 10 people in a car and go to the Dairy Queen (they had carhops then) and get the special, 10 burgers for a dollar. I am sure we got drinks, but I do not remember the price.
Great memories!! :)
The coke bottles only held 6 ounces. One could get "twice as much for a nickel, too. Pepsi Cola is the drink for you." I remember the tune to the commercial, too.
I remember 5 cent Cokes ... and 2 cents for the returned bottle.
I remember coke for 10 cents!
I remember they were so icy cold and frosty, too, in those days.
Neat picture ...
Do you remember when you could get a hamburger, fries, and a coke for 45 cents....then you took the rest of the dollar and filled the gas tank to cruise on Saturday night...........
