He's not new anymore now, Aggie :-):-)))) Pk
Neville - if you get 5 minutes have a look at thishttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebkyfKhEgZkwhich has a few artists including Chris Farlowe
Sure glad this one in your Ji-Gideon, Neville...Bottom line: you knew him but forgot all about him :-)
Congratulations, lady c, for a marvellous win. Didn't know the name of Chris Farlowe at all, until I replayed 'Out Of Time' - then I did. This tune got to No.12 here, in Sept. '66, and was certainly well known. But cannot find any follow-ups, so have to classify him as a One-Hit-Wonder in Oz.
Now now now, let's not exagerate. We are not only known for our chockies, but also for our great customer-friendly hotels :-)
well Belgium USED to be known for its chokies
Germany and France? They are surely not known for their chockies...
I know, it seems to be a great series. No Mon Cheri? How will you ever be able to survive that? :-)Boooo for Belgium :-)
not quite lady C - I got 4 boxes of Piasten's Cherry Kiss from Germany and Carrefour's Chocolates a la liqueur from la France :)
Oh dear Major Don - no Mon Cheri - that is a Major disaster if ever there was one :( booo
well it's Belgium's loss Starlord :)I didn't get a chance to get my Mon Cheri chocolates in Bruges :(
I didn't get the clue of 'the office', Major D :-)Never seen the UK series :-(
Chris Farlowe (born John Henry Deighton, 13 October 1940, Islington, North London, England) is an English rock, blues and soul singer. He is best known for his hit single "Out of Time", which rose to #1 in the UK Singles Chart in 1966,He also did Handbags and Gladrags - which is the theme tune to the UK The Office
Lady C just got back and she strikes again :-)Very well done, clap clap clap
I remember him with this jacket on, every time he was on Top of the Popshttp://24.media.tumblr.com/180b633bcc1b81f8409b5d29f3e66d1c/tumblr_moi93eYBxG1riovnko1_500.jpg
I thought the 'time' bit was a clue - found him under 'out of time' - lol
I thought you were nearly 'out of time' and 'you don't know what's going' on'Brava Lady C - it is him http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMli47EQVWE
I think I may have found him, is it Chris Farlowe?
Hi RJ, yes we are back. I liked the songs from this guy - he had a No1 in the UK - you will know some of his hits I'm sure
Hello everyone, hope you holidaymakers had a wonderful break - certainly sounded good! - but this one has me stumped. First I thought of Gene Vincent, then Frankie Vallie, not right I know, but he reminds me of someone LIKE that.......?
it's not Steve Marriott either or Ronnie Hilton
no lady c, but his real name is john - although he isn't known by that name. Did you mention Hyatt because I'm cross about that hotel in Belgium?
Could he be John Hyatt?
Major D is at the helm. Captain has left the bridge.
Is the image changing constantly? :-)
He has a look of Bob Dylan about him you know ....
That's for you to decide whether it is a clue or not, Lady C :-)
I was going to say could he be Leonard Cohen but now I look, I don't think it is. Time ? could that be a clue Major?
8 stars out of 10... Not bad
Good job there is no time limit on this puzzle
Lol, the waiters in Majorca didn't look mean and moody, this chap would scare the customers away :o)
I'm glad he doesn't look like some waiter in Mallorca :-)That wouldn't be correct either :-))))
He looks like Jools Holland to me :)
Evening Neville... He may look 'a bit' like Ifield, but not enough to be him :-)
Good morning starlord, lady c, MajorDon, & all other starlord fans. Looks a bit like Frank Ifield, but I'm not sure at all.
i'll delete them then and get my breakfast :)
No clues needed yet, Major D :-)
Glad you made it back, Lady C and Major D...
Good morning all - welcome back to normality.
Good morning Starlord and DYR fans. Now who have we here mmm very mysterious :)
