This is a male House Finch and him and his mate frequently visits my bird feeders in the Mohave desert..They have a lovely song and love grape jelly, nectar from hummer feeders, thistle seeds, regular bird seeds, suets and especially peanuts flavored, ice water to both drink and bathe in...just a hint if you want him to visit you❣️
What a gorgeous colour , thanks for sharing Patti xx
They are probably fairly common where Patti is, David. We have many of them here (New York State)-they are frequent visitors at our bird feeders.
Amazing coloration Patti!
I love finches, we have a couple different types that visits and nest in our garden, but not one like this cutie, Thanks, Patti.
A nice one to see, are they common?
