Ken, you could be right!! Haha!!
They grow and change sooo fast! Dottie, our little grandson will be 1 on April 13th. Where did that year go? Soon you'll be saying the same thing. I'm glad you've gotten to see him as much as you have. Ours was here on Sunday for an hour. He's getting so close to walking on his own. And he's fascinated with phones and remotes. lol
Thank you so much Donna. I agree with you! He is such a sweet baby. Always alert and smiles a lot too. Thank you. You are one funny guy. I enjoy your comments! :) And yes, Honey is such a sweet dog. She is gentle and seems to love Nash a lot.
This young one must be tripping the light fantastic with a merry melody.
oh good grief john,...what a hoot..........and you do it so well.........LOL LOL
OH!! I get it dblay!! You were talking about Nash! When you mentioned the sweet face and reaching out to hold him, I thought you were talking about Honey. I guess I have been hanging around my dogs too much.... or my family. They are almost interchangeable.Great picture Dottie!
The latest picture of Nash is just precious and adorable. That sweet face just makes me want to reach out and hold him. (ha) I KNOW you enjoyed holding him when you went to visit with them recently. What a joy that had to be and I wish for you that he and his family could live closer to you. Take care, my friend, and I will be checking for more photos soon. Hugs!!
Thank you my Sparklie friend! Sending hugs back to you! *¨*•.¸¸♥Hugs♥¸¸.•*¨*•
oh Nash is so so adorable and so is honey xx hugs to you all ♥♥♥
I agree, Clive. Thanks!
How lucky you are Dixie.
Thanks again Joe. It WAS a joy to hold him. He is so alert and of course sweet as can be...like all babies are, of course.
You are so nice and sweet on here, I can only imagine holding that precious little guy!! What a joy!! :))
Thank you, Joe! What a nice thing to say. (ᵔᴗᵔ)
I'm sure you are a GREAT Grandmother Dottie and deserve the perks that go with it!!
Thank you, Donna. Of course all us grandmothers want to show off our grands...and they really are grand, aren't they? My daughters and I travelled to Atlanta yesterday to spend the day with my granddaughter and this precious great grand! And of course, being the GREAT Grandmother, I got to hold him the most. Ha! He is precious and I just wish they lived nearer to us. This weather is wonderful, but I feel like you do about the storms that usually come our way at times like this. If they do come please be safe, dear Donna! Big hugs and blessings to you, my friend!
What a wonderful way to "show off" your great-grandson. How adorable and cute he is and I know you and your family adore him. I will be looking for each photo as they come. :-) How about all this warm/hot weather we are having? I so hope we don't have storms Saturday night/Sunday morning. Temperatures like this are not good in February but maybe all will be okay. :-) Take care of yourself and your husband and enjoy that new baby. Hugs, my friend.
What a great story, Gina! Thanks!
Best babysitter you could have, & he's free! My Mom told me that my Grandma put her on her enclosed porch in her playpen, with the dog to guard her while she cleaned house. One day the mailman came knocking at her back door with a special delivery letter. He said he was afraid to go onto the front porch because the dog was there, but he hadn't noticed the baby. Grandma told him he was very smart, because that dog was guarding a special treasure, my Mom! They had a good chuckle about it, & they agreed that he could come to the back door any time the dog was on guard duty.
I think it's a great idea! Personal musings are the best. And yours are the best ever! Let me know when it's published...I want to buy the first book! :-)
Thanks, Cuz. BTW, I've been asked to write a devotional book using some of my posts. I can't decide. They are just personal musings - not formally written devotions. What do you think?
Awww...I'm glad too and you bless me, Cuz!! I saved the beautiful item you posted about "Your New Year". It is so uplifting and I read it often! Thank you for that! Love you!
Thank you, dear Dottie. I love that we have become friends. You always bless me.
I couldn't wait and went right to FB and found what you wrote. Jill, you have such a beautiful way of telling what is in your heart. God bless you, dear friend! May His peace rest upon you now and every time you think of your precious Ruby. Much love to you, dear friend. Dottie
Jill, I didn't see them. I'm not on Facebook much lately. I will look them up later. Thanks for letting me know. It doesn't seem like it's been a year since that precious little baby went to Heaven. Time goes by so fast...especially when you're old!! :)
So cute! Did you see our posts about Ruby yesterday? She went to heaven a year ago yesterday.
Thank you so much Robin. I just love his hair, too!
what a cutie........I love all the hair....my kids didn't have hair "forever" it seemed at the time....great shot......thanks...robin
Bob and Evelyn, I love hearing about other people's pets! I am a dog lover! My granddaughter (Nash's mom) has the most adorable cat. She is very old now but you wouldn't know it. I think their dog, Honey, keeps her young. :) Hi Donna! So good to see you. Thank you my friend for your prayers. And I will be using my avatar to show off my great grand baby! So be looking for more pics of him soon. :-)
How adorable and precious this is, Dottie. What happiness this child must bring you and your husband each time you see him. I love your new "Avatar." He is a cutie pie. Thanks for posting this sweet picture and I am also glad to hear that your husband is doing better. That is great news. Have many happy moments with that baby Nash because he will grow so quickly. Take care of yourself and that hubby. Prayers will continue. Hugs, my friend.
Evelyn, How could anybody hold a grudge against somebody named Teacup?? Especially when it is so attached to your daughter and visa versa. So you have my word that Teacup will be protected anytime I am around. ~Dottie, this little dog substitute that we have now is just the most fearless thing. He isn't afraid of anything. As long as he's in my lap. Which he pretty much lives there!! ~
Clive, we always had a dog when our daughters were growing up. Now they are grown and have children and dogs. :-) One of our daughters has 4 now and the other daughter has one. Grandchildren all have dogs except one. We have always had a dog and I can't imagine now having one here. They are sweet animals...if they are treated right. Evelyn that is so cute! So funny how animals like for their people to play with them. :)
Hi Dixie I have no comment re dogs and cats etc, my boys were both brought up with both oddly eldest has dogs youngest has cats. LOL!!!
That's great Bob! It's no wonder you were voted the best "Chuckleist" in Jigidiland. Hail to the King! Hail to the King! ... oh, wait... Bob used a whoopee cushion, a clear violation of the Chuckle rule of law. Bob, put the silly string down and keep your hands where I can see them! You are hereby put on a "timeout"... no Jigidi for 45 minutes so you can think about your grievous act and the harm you have done to this community. Bob, we trusted you! We were counting on you! And you pulled to old whoopee cushion trick... what has become of today's youth??
LOLThanks you guys, I needed that laugh. Bob, I'm sure you could make even cat tacos taste good, but my initial thought is blecch!
"... You have the right to an attorney... You have the right to shredded cheese.... you have the right to Crystal Hot Sauce and you have the right to some guacamole. Do you understand these rights?...""Meow.""Great. Let's eat!"
Bob, you anarchist! Haven't you ever heard of "due process"? Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law? The Sixth Amendment? . Cats have a right to a fair trial before a fair and unbiased jury? (but I will say cat tacos sound delicious! Think you could post the recipe?) Mr. Cat, you are hereby found guilty of smacking Bob's daughter and your sentence is 1 hour and 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Bailiff... pass the salsa please....`
Evelyn, I'm afraid if my cat ever smacked my daughter for whatever reason, we'd be having cat rolled tacos for dinner and that'd be the end if that!!
Cranky? Moi? Never! LOL Yes, they are all different, Evelyn. Doesn't hurt to keep an eye on them though.
I agree, Judy. :)
Ha Evelyn, I heard that too, years and years ago. My niece's cat allows her little girl to do just about anything to her. Very patient with her. And I know people swear by their dogs being the same way with little children. I think my son's dog is not to be trusted though. She has growled at the baby before when he gets too close to her. She is also very old. It's different in every case.
So many interesting opinions! Thank you all for your comments. teamac, klocowolf, gogogo, ehes4160, and rswestley!
ehes, can you give me a brief description of those "people" that told you "cats steal babies' breath."? Male, female? Height, weight. Any distinguishing marks? like maybe a large tattoo of a lobster on their forehead? In my state, stealing a baby's breath ranks right up there with stealin' horses, so I will round up my vigilante buddies and bring those rascals to justice. Just doin' my part to protect truth, justice, and the American Way of Life...
Thank you for tag to this puzzle featuring Honey and Nash. :-))
I'm not reaching in there to change a diaper.
What a cutie pie...and he is well guarded ;0)
No reason to apologize, Jaklien. You have a right to your opinion. None of us are always right or always wrong. And I was wrong...once!! Ha! Just kidding.
Well, my apologies then. I'm the only one who is afraid of dogs for the realistic and known reason...
I have to say we have always had a dog and never had a mean one and we have had large dogs. Our little dog, Boomer...10 pounds---is the sweetest little thing. He loves everybody and can be a pest when visitors come. He wants all of the attention. Thanks for your input Donna and Judy! So many tales we could tell about our dogs. Looks like we are all dog lovers. Nev, you are very welcome!
He is so cute. Great pic. Thanks for the tag.☺♥☺
Dottie, thanks for the tag. Nev. ♥♥♥
You are so right about our generation being more overprotective of the babies. When I had my first baby, we had a sheltie and he was a mean booger. Had to constantly watch him. Then when my daughter was a toddler, she would corner him and that was not fun to intervene.
Thank you, Janette and Donna. Judy, the younger generation seem to not be as cautious as we are. Jaklien, I do understand. Thank you so much, Bob and Fishes!
Oh, how wonderful!
Aww... Look at that little bug!! Can't tell which one wants more attention!! A great picture, Dottie!! ~
Dottie, I am afraid of dogs. And do you know why? Many years ago my best girlfriend was attacked by her VERY loyal and sweet dog! Her face is terrible.I would never leave my baby with a dog, never!Sorry.
What a cute baby! I would be nervous too, Dottie. My son has a dog, and won't let it near the little guy. She is a cocker spaniel and does not like kids and they've been very careful to keep him away from her. He would love to get ahold of her, too. lol
Reminds me of the Carl books by Alexandra Day. Carl is a Rottweiler that babysits the baby. They are the cutest kids books. Nash is so adorable.
Adorable Dottie! ♥♥♥
P.S. Actually, Honey doesn't baby sit Nash! Haha! And they assure me they are always near when she is there.
He does have a lot of hair! : ) I have asked that same question, Jaklien, and they assure me she can be trusted. Honey is such a gentle dog but it makes me just a little nervous.
A baby with a lot of hair is so cute. The dog is also beautiful, can you trust him?
Thank you irmachac!
That's a nice picture ... Nash has a good nanny :-) thank you for marking.
Thanks Heidi and Joe!!
There's the ones that didn't take. :))

The dark ones are because you forgot to leave a space between the ID's. If you do those again, but leave space between them, they'll work.
Great babysitter!! Looks like he will guard Nash very well!! Thank Dottie!! :))
