I have never seen these falls, I think you have to hike to see them. I am grateful to the brave photographer for this amazing capture! On the website where I found this he describes how he was standing in the water with he & his camera getting very wet, to get this shot.

Thank you Iris, Nev/Marge/Barry Koala, & Lori, I'm glad you enjoyed this photo as much as I did! This is truly an incredible place. I googled & found some interesting facts about Waterfall Gorge. It contains over 50 waterfalls! There are way fewer falls on the Northern Washington side of the Columbia River, mainly because it gets more sunlight & is drier, & its ground is less stable than the basalt rock columns from which the falls on Oregon's side tumble down. There is more information on Waterfall Gorge & waterfalls in general, at http://www.columbiarivergorge.info/waterfalls.html .

I do too! The photographer said he got wet from head to toe, & had to keep wiping his camera lens, but he took some great shots here so it was worth it. He also said the sun peeped out of the clouds just before he took this picture, creating this wonderful effect. I'm so glad you enjoyed this picture/puzzle too!

I love the way the shafts of sunlight echo the waterfalls in the back. Wow! Nice one, Gina. thanks, nan
