I'm confused, Kathy. When you said that you were underwater for 9 minutes, 5 seconds checking out the lollipops, are you telling me that you only LOOKED at them? That seems a bit foolish. One, because you might as well have licked a few like Mr. Bugosi did....just out of curiosity, and two, you should have used scuba diving equipment to help your lungs.
Mr. Bugosi...you reminded me- whatever happened with the puzzle box injury you had? If you sued, I don't think you won the case...but I can't remember.
You have my sympathy, tiny-little-bird........I think you have a valid point about the life guard, and I suggest you count down from 100 to 1, loudly, just to make sure your brain cells haven't been impaired......if they have, then I would strongly advise you to sue for damages......
Well I sure could have used some help as I was under water checking out the lollipops for 9:05 LOL LOL LOL Mr. Bugosi, I don't see how I missed you. Maybe I was too oxygen deprived with that sort of time LOL
Wendy, may I request a life guard on duty??? On second thought, never mind, I have to say I enjoyed every minute of it!!!!!! :-) Thank you Wendy :-)
Mr. Bugosi, if as you claim, you won't be changing your statement...even under the threat of torture, I suppose that I'll have to drop the investigation. However, that's only for the time being. If I can find new evidence, I will pursue.
'twas only a baby lily pad......and my monocle is double-glazed (to keep my eye warm)..........oh, and the rim is made of solid gold (2 in. thick).....It really is so very simple - I am inclined to think you are now nit-picking.......
Mr. Bugosi, I just went to Wikipedia to see how much a monocle weighs. Well, it doesn't mention the weight. However, I found some eyeglasses that weigh less than an ounce:
http://www.elvex.com/SG-14.htm
I assume then, that one lens (something that could be used like a monocle), weighs even less. My guess is that a lily (with pad) weighs a lot more and the monocle...falling on top of the lily pad, would be pretty much like a dragonfly flopping on it. A dragonfly would make zero difference.
The lily was underwater because the weight of my monocle put it there....not a raft in sight (though I couldn't see very well without my monocle)......
It's really quite simple.....the lily was underwater, NOT on the surface....I see no difficulty with my statement, which I shall stick to....even under torture.....
Mr. Bugosi, you're not being truthful. You originally stated that "...just before I dropped my monocle.........luckily it landed on a lily...." And now you're saying that you had to go DOWN (where all the lollipops are), to retrieve your monocle.
Your statements will be reviewed and after the investigators are finished, I'll let you know the outcome (final decision as to what to do with you).
Lucky for you, Mandy, that you're a sheep, and not a frog. The lollipops aren't nearly as tasty as they look. They have a cardboard aftertaste.
Well, I was sitting beside the pond, reading the newspaper, and had a mouthful of peanuts when I dropped the monocle in the pond.....quick as a tortoise I jumped into the pond (to retrieve my fast-sinking monocle).......spotting the lollipops, I licked them all on my way down.........they tasted salty to me.......(Would you like more details?)......
No, I was referring to the peanuts I was eating at the time......just before I dropped my monocle.........luckily it landed on a lily, and I was able to retrieve it.......
