The fire last night extended to the roof behind this lateral facade facing the left bank. The 92m high spire partially visible in the background collapsed into the brazier. Only remains the facade itself and thankfully the walls did not collapsed under the intense heat. the whole roof not visible here on the right of the cathedral burnt to ashes; It was supported by huge oak trees which such complexity had them called "the forest". They all came from forests around Paris of the XIIIth century. It is a huge historical loss for the capital.
