Gorgeous Grandma Day was created by a woman name Alice Solomon, who was an author, speak and radio host, who wanted to celebrate women fifty and over that were getting old gracefully and still enjoying life.

Who is a Gorgeous Grandma? She is every woman over fifty, sixty, or seventy who:

Believes she has her whole life ahead of her, not her whole life behind her.

Wants to get the most out of every day of her life.

Wants to thrive, not just survive.

Cares for her mind and her body.

Remains adaptable to life?s bittersweet as well as sweet.

Cherishes herself as much as she cherishes her loved ones.

Refuses to remain static - who is always open to learning, to new ideas, to new challenges and to new experiences.

Loves life - and lets everyone know it!

If you want to know what I'm celebrating tomorrow, feel free to return to this page after 10pm (GMT - UK) when I will post a link to preview tomorrow's celebration puzzle. 177

Grandmas mean SO MUCH TO SO MANY-Thank you for this puzzle. DIANE FROM N.J.

Thanks PoetJean73 - nice to "see" you visit, welcome, and I'm sorry for the extended delay in responding to you - I'm not usually this slow!!

Sorry Magda, I was sure I had responded to you comment already - but must have forgotten to wait for it to post!! I'm sure you're good enough to pass... from what I already know about you I reckon you are well qualified to be a gorgeous Grandma!! You're children's' nickname is great!!

My grand children used to call me disco grandma. LOL

I got 5 1/2 out of 8, is that good enough to pass? Thank you Mandy.

What a lot of interesting grandmas.

Thanks Josie - and for the link, which I've now discovered takes me to a profile of what must be one of your aliases!! I didn't know!! It's good to know you too - both of you :~))) LOL!

Ardy, I am not letting you get away with putting yourself down... an honorary grandma is a matter of choice... and therefore very very special!! :~)

I know Mimi - I'm envious of their agility too - LOL!

Me neither Edie! But we can do the other half!! Being a fun Grandma sounds great :~)

She's amazing isn't she Pat!! Like you, I'm just happy I can still get on and off the floor when the little ones come to play!

Thanks Barb - specially for doing the research for Ardy re the royal great grandchildren :~)

Mandy, what fun images and your presentation is wonderful. Very timely and fine goals .... :-)

Oh, another fun puzzle, Mandy!!! Love it and love the images, thank you.
Just to jump in ...Ardy, this is the third great grandchild for Queen Elizabeth but the first great grandson. Prince William's cousin, Peter Phillips (the son of Princess Anne) has 2 daughters. :-)

Oh, my, sweetlittleoldgranny's picture is there up top, at the bus stop! Wish I were half as limber--and funny--as she is! I'm just glad I can still get up and down on the floor with my grandsons, and run after them. Of course, they haven't turned 2 yet, so not much speed is required...! LOL!

Sorry Mandy, let me try that again: Hugs!

Mandy I couldn't do half these things when I was in my 30's and 40's. These women are fit. My grandkids call me their fun and funny Grandma so I guess that accounts for something. LOL

Wow some of these Grandmas can really move. That's terrific, but I can't claim to be as limber, sigh. :)

I'm not gorgeous and I'm only an honorary grandma but I'm enjoying life and looking forward to lots more years - probably not as many as have gone before but lots more. Was yesterday's birth the first great grandchild for your Queen? Thanks, Mandy A lovely thing to celebrate.

Very nice Mandy, too bad the kids don't know about it. I love the criteria, I almost make it. Here is the hammock puzzle:

So good to know you dear Mandy, you are a pleasure. Thank you for being there.
