The longest i have ever seen...The body is around a foot in length.

When i was a kid, a lumberjack living on the mountain used to bring mom some of this tropical plant but they were small only about a fourth of this. We grew them, but after some time the pitcher became so small and the plant died.

The difference in size of the pitcher could have been due to the difference in altitude, high up the mountains they had better environment, closer to the mist of the clouds compared to what is at the lowland.

This is such a fascinating plant. I can't imagine growing it at home. That must have been fun (when they didn't die).

Different species from the ones we have here. Thanks. Nice to see.

And unusually huge Jacki. They well thrive at high altitudes in the tropics. You are welcome.

It is an unusual shape compared to the ones I have seen pictures of. We have nothing like the pitcher plant so far north. Beautiful combination of colors. Thank you and Didi.
