Marina, it's woven, not knit, although I do also knit! I have two floor looms, several smaller looms and a huge collection of knitting needles. I'm 75 and I've been knitting since I was 8 years old, thus the large collection of needles!

MarinaNephele

It is wonderfully knit. Thanks.

Thank you, BunnyLeigh. I love weaving - it's even more fun than doing jigidi puzzles!

Thank you for sharing your work with us here on Jigidi. It is lovely. Bunny

I used at least five different yarns in the warp. The reds were mostly wool yarns from Brown Sheep Company, but the blacks were shiny acrylics so they would pop. The variegated yarn, which included the shiny almost white you see, was a mystery yarn that had been in my stash for years. One thing I love about weaving a color pot pourri like this is that I can use up little bits of all sorts of yarns. To prevent such weaves from becoming a big mess, I stick to three closely related colors in the weft - and those are 100% wool. That unifies the piece without making it too dull.

Very nice. I love the color.
