Why are you reporting this puzzle?

My first real (modern) computer was in 1998, a Windows 98 PC desktop with this 1995 game on it, similar to Sonic as you had to run left, right up or down to catch coins and defeat 'baddies'.

Here, its on a green jewel case and its the CD. Which I haven't played for around 20 years.

My observations at the time (and later) appear to be that the PC and internet seemed to take off (in the UK at least), around 1998, it was about 1994 I believe in the USA (the internet as we know it began in 1991), making the WWW (World Wide Web), more accessible to all.

From 2000 (CE) things really took off, mobile/cell phones got smaller and more affordable, internet speeds were increasing, PCs more powerful and Youtube was five years away and you could buy from Amazon already for the previous six years. WiFi was a couple of years old by this time and mobile/cell phones as computers would join as standard from around 10 years later (or so), along with all manner of devices to smart hubs, tablets, modern game consoles and more, as digitial and HD came along.

I went online in 1999 for the first time, and so much has moved on in that time. What will the next 20 years hold I wonder?

Game covers of disks and books (instruction manuals) I have from 1999 - 2019. I am going to sell them on to companies that want them, as it's a better way to recycle them. I scanned them all first though.
