Hi bluebird2,Thanks for the compliment. I use a scroll saw to cut the pattern in 1/4" birch plywood. The black background is heavy construction paper. I use a spray adhesive on the back of the wood and set the wood on the paper (under some weights) to dry. It is then all secured into the frame with a hot glue gun. Two brass screws will go in the holes on the sides of the frame to attach it to the wall.
This is beautiful. How do you do the black color? Ink on the carved out part? or what?
