Thank you Yarnover ;o))

Really nice Brie. Thank you.

Oh Jean! That was hardly the best picture of me! I am glad to say I have fully recovered and the rose bushes where I used them to regain a vertical position are now in bud!
I don't think I will be doing keep fit at 99 either!
And now we have fog rolling in from the sea... I do love the spring!

l looked you up as well, Brie- l like your face very much, despite your bruises, character triumphs over artifice. and l thank you for your kind words. l'm just made of a different mettle than your 99 year-old friend!

There are left overs - easy supper tonight. The jigsaw of the 'Awesome Popovers' has to wait 4 hours!

I can see why you were pleased with the sky....majestic, dramatic, a sense of foreboding, Mother Nature's not-to-be-messed-with power.....
Your Easter feast sounds wonderful.....any leftovers? ;-PP

Brie1648

Hi Jean - thank you for your kind and thoughtful comments.
I saw on your profile you are 82. That's a great age and do not even consider leaving this century! I have a friend Grace, she is 99 and has only just stopped running her keep fit group!
Welcome to Jigidi - even if my wishes are just a little late :o)

l see this painting as power of raw nature itself, unrelated to the life it supports or does not... The sky is magnificent in its prominence and menace.
l appreciate your three puzzles so much, Brie, because they provide me with opportunity to think and keep my faculties alive.

Thank you Wendy, we did - with the most enormous popovers I have ever made (along with a beautiful roast leg of lamb!)
Happy Easter to you too Marion - get painting!
Jaklien - thank you. I love Scotland (apart from everything being fried!!) and yes, it is very green due to the huge amount of rain. What I didn't like was the midges that bit into every bit of bare skin.

Jaklien

Nice memories of the Highlands/Scotland. I only saw them in the green and the rain.

The 3 paintings and that one sketch drawing are just beautiful...............Wendy

I think Ireland is - rightly - called the 'Emerald Isle' but Scotland, in winter, has very little grass up in the Highlands.

i always thought that scotland was green
