Ours was wild when we had him first - he was about a year old and had hardly been handled - we both had the bite marks to show for it! Mike had always had ferrets - never hunted though - someone he knew gave him this one - surplus to requirements. He's settled down fine now - getting on in years. He lives mostly in a large hutch but comes in every evening for a run round, an explore and a dish of hot chocolate (the vet thinks that's hilrious - but he gets his head into the choc and laps with his eyes shut)...

Love the name, I do think Ferrets bring out the best in people when it comes to naming, some are so inventive... The great thing is, you can call them anything, as most of the time, they are up to so much trouble, you tend to have a assortment of alternatives which are more fitting for the occasion anyway :)

The one on the left is Malteaser... He has pass over to the Rainbow Bridge now, but he was a real clown, and a total mummy's boy. He would play up to my wife all the time, and even get between us if we tried to kiss...

We have as you have probably guessed a Chocolate Theme for the names of all of our that have come to us without names, but over the years we have used up most of the good ones, so will have to find a new theme soon.

Absolutely - ours is called General Lee because my husband admires the man and because the ferret is part greyhound and part polecat - he looks a lot like the one on the left in this picture - but with dark ruby eyes and a grey tail. He's the first ferret I've lived with and I am a definite convert!!

Thank you... All ferrets are cute, and your own are always the best of them all... :-)

Really enjoyed this - your ferrets are as cute as ours!!
