꒰•‿•꒱꒰•‿•꒱꒰•‿•꒱LOL you lot꒰•‿•꒱꒰•‿•꒱꒰•‿•꒱

jals

It works that way in traffic.

msbonne

It does not bode well for those of us bringing up the rear. Although if I go slow enough, soon I shall be in the lead.

jals

Horses in front with no nappies. Chaos will ensue.

hippo

He does a good cut. But avoid his pies.

msbonne

I just saw him singing in a quartet.

manicpuzzler

LOL he gets about a bit. Tell him to pop in to see the Capulets :)

msbonne

Oh, sure, every time I get to Seville.

manicpuzzler

I take it your hair gets done at Sweeny Todds!

msbonne

Some might even say they have slashed their prices (but only the places that do not have high quality goods).

manicpuzzler

They have shaved a lot off the price :)

msbonne

As long as you clip your coupons, you can get some great deals.

manicpuzzler

I bet the prices there are a 'snip' though!

msbonne

Barnet Fair is a shopping Venue here. I never go, as it is simply to much work.

manicpuzzler

Probably safer that way, one splash of manure on the head and that perfectly coiffured barnet would get ruined!!!

(Barnet Fair is Cockney rhyming slang for Hair)

msbonne

I think I will stay home (like I have a choice, by the time I get ready to go the parade will be over).

manicpuzzler

LOL right at the front, with NO nappy :)

hippo

As long as I don't have to bring up the "rearguard"!

manicpuzzler

We will organise a special parade for you :))

hippo

:((

And I had my tail plaited especially!

manicpuzzler

꒰•‿•꒱꒰•‿•꒱꒰•‿•꒱LOL꒰•‿•꒱꒰•‿•꒱꒰•‿•꒱

jals

LOL
No more horses in the parade. No one wants to follow them.

msbonne

My bad. See, it all Depends on what you are thinking at the time.

racoonstar

@msbonne - not quite done yet. Don't forget to change hippo's horsey diaper on your way out...

msbonne

Then, as you would say, my job is done here.

racoonstar

@msbonne - okay, now I'm really LOL.

msbonne

Depends. (in more ways than one).

hippo

Oh @racoonstar, that is pitiful. :(

How could we hear that reassuring "plop plop" to ensure everything has gone according to plan...

racoonstar

@hippo - sorry to disagree with you, but...

https://www.workinghorsetack.com/Catch-It-Manure-Bag-Horse-Diaper-p/bb2cb.htm

And it comes in multiple colors _and_ sizes!

msbonne

You are NOT supposed to stare at an eclipse...…..

hippo

Horses are allowed as we don't believe in underwear. Then if we don't like someone we moon them, and they usually stay a good distance away...

msbonne

I stand behind racoons statement.

racoonstar

Going to the moon and mooning someone is not the same thing, hippo.

hippo

@jals, that is superlative lateral thinking.

I suppose, then, if I told you I go to The Moon pretty much every day, you wouldn't be as surprised and cynically skeptical as the average bod...

jals

I've named my bathroom, The Gym, so I can honestly say I visit the gym every morning. So far no one's caught on, but I'm sure sooner or later they're going to wonder why my shape isn't changing from round to slim.

manicpuzzler

:)) :))

msbonne

It always is.

manicpuzzler

That's because it's off somewhere answering a question.

msbonne

Yes, the C is silent.

manicpuzzler

Gym is a four letter word (silent letter) in this house!

RandomWorship

I hear ya. Gym doesn't float my boat either. LOL! (~ᴗ❛)

Gotta run now. It's Wednesday night over on this side of the world, and time to shut down. (❛ᴗ❛)

msbonne

Not THIS sloth.

RandomWorship

Oooh. "Holiday weight". The hardest weight to shift. Time for this sloth to become a gym monkey! (❛ᴗ❛)

msbonne

Hey, it is just a little extra holiday weight I have put on for the upcoming holidays.

RandomWorship

And now with the hill-building? You packin' an excavator back there? (❛ᴗ❛)

msbonne

I am older than the hills (seriously, I had them built as a noise abatement for the expressway behind my house).

RandomWorship

You have a 4 year old granddaughter? Crikey! You're holding your age well. I can't see a line on your face! Although to be fair it's a bit hard to judge exactly what's under that fur! (~ᴗ❛)

msbonne

Fifteen is too old. They have already become attached to certain brands, maybe even have sponsors. My 4 year old granddaughter could probably assist.

RandomWorship

I think I have to leap. The one app that I like using is whatsapp, so I can have multi-person convos with my sisters - which we can't do via text. And my mobile won't host whatsapp from 2020 either. I would be happy with older technology - but that would mean buying second-hand. And that scares me even more than thinking about the decision I have to make to figure out brand/model/bells and whistles. Anyone know a fifteen year old that can help me out? They are all experts! (❛ᴗ❛)

manicpuzzler

If it works, why change it :))

msbonne

Do not leap too far into the technology abyss.

As to your iPhone 4, I recently (for the first time in 34 years), switched my cellular (mobile) provider. They MADE me give up my iPhone 5 because it would not work on their network. I bet my computer is older than your laptop...…….

RandomWorship

LOL msbonne! My friends and family consider me quite the dinosaur! My mobile (cell) phone is an iPhone4 that started out life as my work phone in 2012. It's so old, that it won't run any apps. Not that I'm really an appy kind a gal. But it was kind of galling when even not even the Bureau of Meteorology app would load. And my laptop if about 10 years old, and still running on Windows 7. Who have said they will withdraw support from January next year. So I can see some new IT equipment in my not-too-distant future! The post-Christmas sales are looking good! (❛ᴗ❛)

msbonne

Good to know I am not the only one who only uses cutting edge technology RW.

RandomWorship

Yippee! Got this one. Even thought I don't have Twitter. Or any social media for that matter. It's just Jigidi for me. Thanks Bonnie! Now, onto the next one. (❛ᴗ❛)

manicpuzzler

I didn't know that you could delay delivery of texts. Probably not on my mobile phone, it's over 20 years old and has buttons!

jals

you're welcome, nanab.

nanab

jals,
That was very helpful, thank you for taking the time to explain.
I'll stick with my 'hello' and 'goodbye' on the telephone, no mistaking what I mean that way.

jals

I got it after way too much time. I have used Twitter and I text a lot. Twitter is harder for me, because I am too wordy. They limit characters.
Nanab, Twitter is an application of social media you can use. You put together a message and post it on Twitter and then people can read it. You can follow certain people and read what they tweet each day. You will get notifications of the people you're following of when they post a tweet, if you like. Otherwise, you can just read your "feed" which has all sorts of tweets posted, much like this puzzle thread. You can reply to or like them if you want.

Text is an application on your phone that allows you to message someone who also has that application on their phone (which is most everyone anymore). And when they get your message, they can reply to it and send you a message in return. It is especially helpful if they are busy and can't talk on the phone at the time, or if you are. You can even schedule your messages to be delivered at a time that is convenient for them. For example, I could send my grandson a text now, but have it scheduled to be delivered after school so he doesn't get in trouble for using his phone at school. That way my message gets delivered so I don't forget to send it, but arrives when it is convenient for him. I hope this helps you.

jyl

@msbonne - Sorry, friend, Rocky Point is the southernmost end of Vancouver Island, directly north of Port Angeles WA.

nanab

I don't text or tweet either, I don't even know what the difference is!

racoonstar

I solved puzzle correctly, but I don't tweet.

(I don't text, either)

LOL extra info is always good :))

msbonne

Points accepted.

Thank you hippo.

nanab

Yes!

hippo

Added points for @msbonne for the extra educational information I think...

manicpuzzler

LOL they are!

msbonne

OR, Wittert. Some people that use twitter are witterts, so it goes hand in hand.

manicpuzzler

And the answer is …………………. Twitter :))

manicpuzzler

Well done Kirsten :))

RandomWorship

Got this one. Funnily I found it easier than the last few. Thanks Bonnie. (❛ᴗ❛)

manicpuzzler

꒰•‿•꒱LOL you lot and well done, this I thought, was a bit harder than the others꒰•‿•꒱

Mariposamia

Seems like it. At least we're keepin' up!

jals

Taking turns, eh, Julie?

Mariposamia

Judy, we may well be seesawing. You get one quick, I get another, you, than I!

patsquire

I got it right away but it took a while to find the path of letters. ☺

ParsonWayne

I wonder if our President Trump could guess what the word is. lol

jals

Julie,
I got some of the others right away but was really turned around on this one. Good for you!

Mariposamia

Got it right away! Happens some times, but not often (smile!).

:)

jals

Oh, I've got it now. How I missed it for so long is embarrassing!

okieclem

I'm gonna stay away with any political comments here -- ha, ha!

ringleader

Got this one. Thanks Bonnie.

Bubble

Yup (❀ᴗ❀)

msbonne

Is that the place with the pointy rock thingy?

jyl

Wow, got it before I opened the puzzle.

Even tho' you probably won't recognize this, I live right by Rocky Point in British Columbia, the south west corner of Canada.

jals

This is giving me pause.

racoonstar

:::respectfullynoddingback:::

hippo

Well, that is good at least for a respectful nod! :))

racoonstar

@hippoe - I was born and raised in Southern California, does that count?

I currently live on the eastern edge of the Mid-South region of the US, so am familiar with Southern wit.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mid-South_(region)

hippo

So, @racoonstar, are you from the Deep South? If so, I guess I must bow to your superior local knowledge...

manicpuzzler

꒰•‿•꒱꒰•‿•꒱꒰•‿•꒱LOL꒰•‿•꒱꒰•‿•꒱꒰•‿•꒱

racoonstar

@hippo - incorrect definition!

rettwit - someone with a highly refined sense of Southern wittiness.

hippo

Comes from a phrase originating with Gone with the Wind

A Rettwit. Someone, my dear, who, frankly, does not give a damn.

Me too.

racoonstar

I got it, and yet I don't.
