This was my first serious drawing done with pencil crayons. I'd coloured a few drawings, in the past, but never done a drawing. It was a bit ambitious, being done on A3 paper. It was difficult to scan on an A4 scanner, being done with four separate scans and assembled in Paint Shop Pro, with my name added today. I never signed it as I intended to colour the background and add 'prey' in the form of a mouse or small bird, but decided against it. It is drawn from a photograph I took, now lost. The drawing is rolled up somewhere in a cardboard tube. The digital original is very large. This is 768x768. I might print a small version to hang on the wall, or use as a card. The image is my copyright.

Superb drawing, the play of light brings it to life.

Wow, fantastic. I can never understand how some people can draw and paint seems like some kind of a blessing. And then we got blessed to be able to see it

Nice of you both to comment, thanks a lot...Dave

If it wasn't signed and had a background I'd swear that it was a photo of a real kestrel. Excellent!

I hope you have continued with many more drawings since. It is beautiful! You have quite a talent...Jody
