Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Hubby & a hired helper put up this fence, made of recycled wooden pallets, to keep the deer out of our garden. It's not beautiful, but it works! They plan to add a couple feet of chicken wire at the top, to extend the height to about 8 feet. This year we only planted some peas, cukes & strawberries. Our daughter was given a raspberry bush & it was dying on their patio, so we brought it up here & planted it in the produce garden. The next few pics are of our garden, & I hope you will enjoy seeing them.

Thanks, dear O&A, that was such a sad movie. Hubby loves it but I can't even stand to watch it, or Where the Red Fern Grows, or Old Yeller. That sure was a lot of fence, but Hubs has a helper who works cheap. A neighbor heard of the fence & gave us a couple dozen old T posts like they use to hang chain link fencing. That's what they're using to support the pallets. Another one picked them up with his truck & brought them to us, & helped pull up T posts from our old chicken yard fence to use for the garden one. It took several days but they managed to put it up. It doesn't have a gate yet, but thankfully the deer haven't figured that out yet, LOL. So far no deer have been in the garden, so we think it's working but we're still going to add chicken wire to make it taller. We have a wild blackberry patch that we pick from every year. There are wild blackberry bushes all over southern Oregon, so no one has to go wanting for them. There's a huge blueberry farm near the big city, & I think they're going to have a bumper crop this year. When they do they often put up a stand along the Redwood Highway & sell them, so I hope they'll do that this year. I don't usually care much for blueberries, but theirs are fantastic, can't wait to buy some!

Oops! my post below started with "Thank you, Iris & Sparkles!", but somehow it got erased. Computers, gotta love 'em! :)

It's not fancy, & weeds are still our main "crop", but we love it here, & have fun working & playing around on our little farm. As for the produce Sparkles, I just hope we get some, LOL! So far we've only gotten a dozen or so strawberries & a few raspberries, but hopefully those will do better next year since they are new plants. I can't get to where the peas are planted, but will have Hubby take a pic or two of them soon. He says it looks like we have a couple of other plants growing too, but I can't remember what he said they were right now. As he often says, "it's a work in progress", LOL!
