We have removed layer after layer of leaves from our yard this fall and they are still falling. For raking purposes, we have been fortunate that it has not rained this fall. Dry leaves are easier to rake than the wet ones. Our first possible rain is the day before Thanksgiving.

dblay, I've noticed that GA and ALA often have the same weather. Probably why we have the same saying. LOL.

BEAUTIFUL little tree. The colors are sooooo bright and perfect for Fall. I love the Deer family beside it. :-) I see lots of beautiful leaves on the "ground" and a very nice fence too. Thank you for sharing more of your yard as we can see all the work you two have done. I do hope you have not lost any of your photos and can get the computer thing worked out quickly. It has to be very frustrating. Those things are very tricky and my son keeps an extra one next to the one we use and he "backs up" stuff on it hoping not to lose anything. :-)
Just a comment to Dee about what the weather is like in Georgia -- we, here in Alabama, have the same saying. (ha)

Terry, do you feed your Finches sunflower seed or thistle seed? I do both, but have trouble finding what I consider fresh thistle (can't remember the correct name. Serious brain fart here.) Where do you get yours? When do the Finches show up there?
Sorry about your woes with your computer and programs. I know that has to make you sick, just at the thought of losing your photos. I hope it all gets ironed out soon.
Wish I was there to help with the leaves. Raking is oneconnie of my favorite yard chores.

Terry, this is a wonderful photo!!! such rich colors and wonderful texture contrasts. You & Sue are really landscape artists as well as great photographers. Thank you for posting this. Nancy

Hi, Terry. I'm in the eastern part of GA. It has definitely been rainy. Today is beautiful. Last night frost warning. Today 63. It's like that around here. There's a joke about it, "If you don't like the weather wait a couple of hours and it will change." It's not quite that bad but it does change a lot. Wishing you a good week. Dee

petsmom, thanks for the compliment. Sounds like you live in a rainy place lately. What state would that be? Terry

WVHill: Connie, you have probably heard me say, we have only gotten a total of one third of an inch of rain since June. We are still having wildfires in our area. We even got a bunch of smoke from the Paradise fire this week. Sounds like your yard would be a great place to raise mosquitoes.
My computer was over six years old and I was afraid it would crash and I would loose twenty some thousands photos in my editing program so I bought a new one this week......and I didn't use a "Go fund me" plea to buy it. I have a lot of nice photos from my fall trip to Montana but being without my computer this week, I could not edit any of them and post any new puzzles. I got the new computer home last night. Unfortunately, they missed up my editing program when transferring it from the old machine to the new. I sure hope that can be fixed. In the meantime I have been relegated to posting puzzles that I made up some time ago but wasn't excited about posting them.
American Goldfinches and the Lesser Goldfinches are both common birds in our area. Some of them, particularly the "Lessers" stay here year around. The last two days we have had a Ruby Crowned Kinglet out side our living room window. He spends hours banging up against our window. I think he has OCD. This week we even saw a Bald Eagle flew over our yard for the first time. Terry

Your yard is beautiful, seagirl7. I, too, wish we could have sent you some of our rain. Thanks for posting your puzzles. They're so pretty. I have a huge amount bookmarked.

luly, Thank you. I love fall. Wish it would last as long as winter does. Terry

Your yard is so beautiful seagirl, nature in its glory all over the place, I love this photo and could not pass it without enlarging it. Thank you so much. :-)

We're finally getting some dry weather. Sort of. It drizzled last night, but it's nothing compared to the rain we had during October. I wish we could have shared it with you. I hate you and Sue both, for having a yard that looks like your's does in the fall. Mine looks like it was planted for the 'Walking Dead' movies.
Our back yard had water standing for weeks, over much of the yard. It was the first time in forty years we saw that. It killed all of our grass before it dried up, and encouraged weeds and more weeds to grow. We got a nice freeze the other night and had sleet the day before. Poor Sue and her girls thought it was snow. Must be that cursed climate change.
You are doing some great photos here lately. Not that you haven't been doing that for many moons. You just seem to be finding particularly great scenes to shoot. A lot of them in your own back yard. Tell Sue hi for me. connie
By the way, my hummers are finally gone. I hated to see them go, but I needed the rest. Can't wait till next year. Do you two get Gold Finches out your way? If so, when do they come?
