Geese can be fast and aggressive "snappers" - I, too, have had some experience with them. In fact, for awhile, I didn't go out to feed the ducks around here, because I knew a certain goose would be waiting. :-P But in general, and at a bit of a distance, I like geese just fine. :-)
Gogogo, no need to apologize. Feeding ducks is pleasant, and a good way to get rid of left-over matzah. When the geese try to push their way into the circle, biting the ducks and snapping at me, not so calming. At least iguanas don't seem interested in anything except the hibiscus bushes.
lefty50, My apologies - I get confused so easily & have bad memory (excuses, excuses). You were speaking AS A FLORIDIAN while mentioning wanting sunny Florida - I managed to totally miss that. :-PFeeding ducks is a pleasant & calming experience, I find. :-)Here in Tampa Bay area, I see another week of very little rain predicted this morning. I hope everyone is using water extra carefully, but have my doubts about that being the case.
You are correct, gogogo. At least it let me get the newspaper this morning and get out to pull some weeds and feed the ducks late this afternoon, and has helped with the firefight in SW Florida.
Sunny Florida badly needs some of that rain you're experiencing, lefty50!JiggyBelleS, Hope y'all got yourself some chocolate, if you were really in need. :-D
I want to see sunny Florida. I emptied 3.25 inches from the rain gauge after last night's downpour, and it's almost up to another 4 inches for the day (and it's only 2:30). Lawn is doing its happy dance.
I just read this to John and I think he pulled a muscle laughing. I'd best run to the store for some chocolate....
Thank you! ☺
Thanks Pam. I hope the same for you in Sunny Florida! ◕‿◕
My husband is a sweetie & quite considerate, too - I have nothing to complain about with him - just thankful to have him here in my life. :-))Hope you are enjoying your Sat. afternoon in Alabama, with or without chocolate. :-D
LOL!! Sounds like something my sneaky hubby will do! But most of the time he's a sweetie so I'll have to give him a break! : )
That's a nice little group of Auburn alums in your family. :-)LOL about hubby and mints! My hubby doesn't have much of a sweet tooth. But every once in a while his sweet tooth will flare up, & I'll go to get the last piece of some sweet treat & find that it's GONE!! That always takes me greatly by surprise, because he so rarely eats sweets - lol
I don't follow any of the sports except football. I have a son-in-law and grandson and granddaughter who graduated from Auburn and they follow most of the sports. Hmmm...strawberry jam on toast sounds pretty good...but I'll stick to my few mint patties...got them hidden from hubby! Haha!
I was born & raised in Florida & still live here, & am graduate of UF. Am currently following the Gators' baseball season, but I don't follow any sports as thoroughly as my husband does. :-) Thanks for the offer of the mint patties - very kind! Too lazy to drive to grocery this morning, so finally resorted to strawberry jam on toast. NOT chocolate, but satisfied the sweet tooth somewhat - lol
I have a few small Russell Stover Mint patties I will be glad to share with you, Pam! : ) Yes, we are War Eagle fans...I live in Alabama. Nice to meet another southern gal.
I did NOT get my chocolate, except in my imagination. A grocery run may be in the works this morning, with chocolate #1 on the list. lolbtw, I am a Florida Gator - was glad to see another SEC enthusiast, with your mention of War Eagles at your puzzle page. :-))~ gogogo/Pam
Haha! Donna!! You're welcome, gogogo! Hope you got your chocolate!! : )
Sigh...this sounds like me. And now I want some chocolate. lolThank you for puzzle and thought. :-)
Wish I could stop with only two, Haney. I agree with Dottie that you have a lot of will power. That is funny about blaming it on your husband, Dottie. (ha)
Haney, you sure have lots of will power! I try not to bring it into my house but my hubby just keeps bringing it home!! Haha! Well, I have to blame someone, don't I? : )
Donna, I only have 2 of the miniature dark chocolate sugar-free bars daily. Just about what the doctor ordered. Haney :-)
Yes, Jan! He was your favorite!! And now he's mine...LOL!!
Russell Stover.....hmmmm...did I date him in the 80s? Or maybe I just spent a LOT of time with him. LOL
Donna, I know what you mean about having trouble stopping when eating chocolate! Yum!! I have the same problem. : )
That is SO FUNNY. Sounds more like me than really doing a push up. :))) Oh my, everyone talking about chocolate has made me hungry for some so I stopped reading all the comments and decided to just answer this myself. Haney, I have eaten the Russell Stover Sugar-free chocolate. It's good but you have to be careful how much of it you eat and I have a hard time stopping when I get hold of a box of chocolates. (ha) Thanks for posting this, Dottie. It seems to have brought on a LOT of comments. I'm behind so I need to check some more of your puzzles. :))
Sounds yummy, lefty50!
Dinner consisting of wine and that scrumptious bar of Canada True Maple Crunch dark chocolate that I bought while on vacation a few months ago. I've been saving it for a special occasion. See you soon, DixieGal.
Lefty50, I don't drink wine but dinner sounds great! I'll be right there. : )
According to the newspaper, today is National Drink Wine Day. I can see the dinner menu in my head.
LOL!! Funny Lin! Be very careful when maneuvering out of bed!!
Lin, I was responding to your comment. Have you changed your mind about the dark chocolate? A woman has the right to change her mind! : )))
Thank you, Haney!! I'm looking it up now. Also, I'm very familiar with Russel Stover! Ha! : )

Dottie and Jiggy, the following reference is a good review of the benefits of dark chocolate. I use the small bars of sugar free chocolate by Russel Stover. They have outlets across the country, at least in the Southeast USA. They also have a web page where you can order at a discount.https://authoritynutrition.com/7-health-benefits-dark-chocolate/...Haney :-)
LOL!! Jan, they should listen to you, especially when it comes to food!!! I'll back you up, my friend!
I've been telling myself for years that it was healthy. Finally the government heard me! LOL
Haney, I'm so glad to hear that dark chocolate is healthy!! Who knew?? Thanks for that great news!! :D
LOL!! Jan, I wanted some of those chocolates...but I'm glad I didn't have them because I would be stuck in the recliner with you. Hmmmm. Come to think of it...that wouldn't be so bad! Thanks for stopping by! : )
Dottie, great one! I "Pushed Away" from the table to avoid second helpings....didn't fall..but still had my two small pieces of sugar free dark chocolate which the government now agrees is healthy. Thanks. Haney :-)
Dottie, I did that yesterday, too. I jumped for joy, (well, kind of hopped, really), fell down again..... and decided to finish the whole box of chocolates. It worked, I can't get out of the recliner. LOL
Bob, you're welcome! I hope Kathy enjoys it. You are a thoughtful husband!! : )
LOL! Lin, I think you're right!! We do get more exercise that we realize! And dark chocolate coming your way! : )
Dottie, Kathy's gonna get a kick out of this one! Thanks for the smile!!
Well, Dottie - Haven't fallen lately, but... maybe the push up counts when maneuvering out of bed in the morns. Make that dark chocolate, if you please. ; )))
Haha! Thanks for the laugh, lefty50! Bibliophile, you're welcome! : )
That is a good one DixieGal, thanks for the chuckle!
That's usually how I feel after I've held a door open for other folks. It's exercise, just like holding your hands up while the credit card reader is studying the chip in the card.
