Why are you reporting this puzzle?

This photo has just surfaced from the depths of sweetlittleoldgranny's shoe-box.......It depicts yours truly, when a mere toddler, relaxing in my pram-thingy during one of my frequent visits to the "Blue Movies" (Uncle Bluebottle's Movie Studios).......At this time, I was never seen without a pipe in my mouth - I had steadfastly refused to suck on a dummy, believing it to be bad for ones health........

Oh I was lost and just arrived to say "goochiee goochie goo" baby lela as I dash out to Gucci's for a diaper bag! (Only the finest)

Elfie

Oh, then you are not quite lost....!!

pdevredis

Thanks so much, Lela! I kept thinking it was someone else's puzzle--no wonder I couldn't find it!.......

juneshone

can't remember when I last enjoyed a liquorice pipe, if ever. there's plenty of it online so I guess you might still get it at Walmart, Asda etc

lelabugosi

Here it is....or was.......

Oh, dear, I missed this puzzle somehow...! I have a photo of my father, at maybe 5 years old, with a pipe, too--and he kept that habit all his life. Hmmmm.... There was another puzzle recently with a discussion of the word dummy, and I can't remember whose it was......I seem to remember Robbie in that set of comments.....Damn, now I'll be searching through old puzzles all morning trying to figure out where I saw it!

lelabugosi

Don't know about that......Juneee probably will.....

Elfie

I'm so very surprised that liqourice pipes haven't been forbidden really, are you still able to get any of them??

lelabugosi

Hee-Hee!.......I used to have clay pipes for blowing bubbles, in 'the good old days'!.......

Elfie

Ohhh, Joycee, don't say things like that loud in Denmark. Never ever a pipe, anything else really!! The poor kids mustn't see those devillish instruments, they could start smoking on them for real!! OOusch!!!

cakes1947

Every child should have a ''bubble pipe''! Just make sure they know to blow into it, not suck out!!
Fun puzzle .... thanks cute little Lela!!! :)))))))))
(time, 1:28)

Elfie

No, why should it be???

juneshone

short for dummy-tit, is that rude?

Robbiel

Cute little tyke (sort of).......Never heard of a dummy (in this context).....only pacifier. The pipe suits you Lela, you looked so distinguished even at that age!

Elfie

With us it just a "sut" with a "u" sound as "oo" in look! It's very easy indeed. Thanks for consoling Octosweetie!! I do know those two, found them in my dictionary the other day, but thanks Junee!

juneshone

a soother or pacifier then?

octomom

Don't feel bad, Hanne-still-smoking, I didn't know that either. The things you Europeans and Aussies say!

lelabugosi

Hanne-also-with-pipe.......A dummy is the thing parents put in the mouth of small children to keep them quiet (no, not a boot!).......It is also something I have sometimes been called........

photogent

A chew off the old plug.

Elfie

Pipes are SO cosy......!!! A dummy? - what's that??

david06520

(I don't see the Rosemarian Resemblance, but that Pipe looks mighty familiar.......)

...

.

lelabugosi

Madame-of-the-temple........believe me, Rosemay's baby had nothing on me!.......
bookie-person.........It was probably a good film.......

Church_Lady

Good Lord in Heaven!!! It's Rosemary's baby!!!
