Oh, they were so much fun today!!! Yesterday they were thrown away. Last night they slept ALL night long, not even a whimper......but after playtime this afternoon and it was time for a nap.....Blondie here decided that she wanted human companionship during her nap. She wanted to be held while she slept! How in the world did they get spoiled this darn quick??????? LOL

May each and every person who has been following this story find a blessing, and a ray of sunshine, and a bit of wisdom that has been shared by fellow Jigidiers in their comments they have left.

In case the comment below is missed somehow on the other puzzles.....please allow me to post it on each of the adventures of Callie Lou and her brother............

I am THANKFUL for soooooooooooo many things!!!!!!!! I stumbled into Jigidi not so long ago. Not only has Callie Lou found a community filled with support, well wishes, wisdom, sharing, caring, tips and warmth, it has become so evident to me too :-)))))))))) I am so thankful for Jigidi and all of its wonderful people. What a great way for everyone to start off the new year. I am thrilled to have been part of Calli Lou's and her brothers life and the oppertunity to share it with the world. For such tiny pups, they have indeed traveled all around the world. The love that wasn't there from their beginning has now been multiplied beyond count and we all embrace their future with high hopes. I am so greatful for Libby welcoming Callie into her home and heart!!!!! My husband stands tall in my eyes for all that he has done for these little guys. His very first emergency trip to the vets office to find something to combat the fleas, another trip that night for oatmeal shampoo aftr learning fleas might could jump 6 feet LOL LOL LOL, the early morning visit to the vet to get their first shots and deworming, the trips to fetch food and toys LOL, his tender heart, and his patience with me through all this, makes him one special guy in my book!!!! He has always been good to me. God blessed me with my husband and our son and He has always had His hand in my life!!!!! I learned a good while back that when we ask of Him things and it seems that He doesn't answer, that we are often asking for the wrong things. I am sure many of you have seen this in your lives too? Sometimes we just need to change what we are asking for and then do some searching for what He has already provided for us. He has promised to supply us with every need. We just have to do our part and search out those supplies that He already has in place.

I am delighted that the story of these two little pups have touched so many lives. I am thankful for each of you that have shared in their journey and best of all, we all have something good to look forward to because of Libby. Who could ask for more? LOL

So here is to ALL of Jigidi and to the future!!!!!!! :-)))))))))))))))))))) Hugs and appreciation all around with more to come :-)))))))))))))

Great fun and the little helper was having fun too. We found three like that someone left in the woods close to the house and they were a joy to have. We found some really good homes for them and we see them once n a while and believe it or not they still remember us. You did a good thing and will be rewarded for it.

Please let me post this on the puzzles and then I will be back with replies to the comments :-)

Let me give all of you and update for today. When the trucker guy was a no show, and then our decision not to let the other lady have her because they had numerous other dogs that were kept in pens, it was back to us keeping her. But since she is part Lab, I fear that the alligators in the pond would eat her if she went for a swim, coupled with us living next to the highway that my husband found the puppies, we would need a fenced in back yard to keep her safe....which we don't have. It has been an emotional roller coaster ride with trying to decide whethr or not to keep her. But the latest news is that the trucker guy might end up with her after all.

Here is what happened today. It turned out that my husband was calling the wrong number yesterday when he was trying to get in touch with the guy. He finally realized his mistake and dialed the right number. The guy saw where we had tried to call him, so he called us back early this morning and hubby told him he could still have her. He came right on out. BUT....I was royally ticked at not hearing from him yesterday.....I would have expected a call saying that he was unable to come right then and would come for her today......but come to find out, he was in a section of Florida where he did not have reception. Anyway, being the grump pot that I am early in the morning, I made some hard fast rules. He could come and look at her but he could not take her home with him today. I want to test him to see if he keeps his word about getting her tomorrow. The poor little thing is still scratching like crazy, so back to the vet she went after he left. The vet took about 20 minutes with her but saw no reason to prescribe anything. He said that her skin was just dry and causing the itching. Probably the massive flea infestation didn't help either.

Anyway, Bella is still with us and we will see if she goes home with the guy tomorrow. There will still be some rules though. If he will let us take a picture of him holding her, give us his address, and promise to check in with us or let us call him, then I will feel better about letting her go. I so want to keep her, but like I said, I am afraid that something would happen to her due to the pond and road issue.

I do know one thing......this guy is going to have to prove himself worthy of her before I let him take her. If you are thinking that I can be a grump pot at times then you would be right. I fight hard when something comes down to "the principle of the thing!!!"

I did indeed loose my internet last night while trying to answer comments. Windstream got another call LOL as I was pretty ticked about the instability of my internet. Work is still going on with the lines but the tech support guy put us down to have a repairman come out today and check everything on our end. Low and behold, MY MODEM has been at fault. The repairman just left and I now have a new modem AND INTERNET!!!!!!!!! YESSS!!!!!!! Update to follow in just a bit.....I want to let everybody know why there were no updates yesterday and no new photos.

In going back through all these puzzles, I read the comments below and feel that I just have to say that you have expressed the feelings that we, who share our homes and lives with these wonderful animals, hold in our hearts to be true. Bless you for being so passionate and articulate.

doglovertoo, I am so sorry for your loss. And it is a deep loss, this I know. It was two years after our beloved Kyla left us that we brought Meara into our lives. None of us felt we were ready but my aunt persuaded me to see a litter of puppies after talking to me about the stifled love that we had. She felt that it didn't have an outlet for the love and that it needed to be expressed to another dog. She was right. The healing didn't really start until we could love again.

Mary, you know how much empathy that I have felt about your beautiful Susan and what your support to me during our troubles with Bonnie has meant to me.

Adapting well to their "foster home"! :)

I don't think of them as spoiled but, getting the attention and love that they need. I wonder if they are starting to teethe. They might need something of their own to chew on. Congrats on being good doggie parents.

They're winning you guys over...:))))

Libby, your words bring loads of comfort believe it or not!!!!!! Sounds like you definitely have experience with dogs!!!! I so appreciate your input!!!!!

I took them out again awhile ago. Would you believe that they already listen and mind!!!! We have one outside kitty, someone also donated her. Her food is out there and they would so love to have a go at it, but a stern "No" sometimes accompanied by a clap of the hands, does the trick, followed by a big praise for minding. I was so surprised to find them already listening!!!! Told hubby about it awhile ago and I think he finds it hard to believe.

After their trip out, I let them wander around the den for a bit. I know they have to be tired as they got a good work out this did I LOL Anyway, they definitely wanted to sleep, just not without my presence. They both piled up in my lap, but they got hot and were hassling. Blondie started to whine. I sat there puzzled and then it was settled. As I was sitting on the floor with them, Blondie got out of my lap and laid on the wooden floor right beside me....all the while touching my left leg. She was finally fast asleep, cool and comfortable and satisfied. Brother continued to lay in my cooler since sis wasn't laying on top of him. We sat there in front of asking him what their names should be LOL LOL LOL Finally it was time for me to get up, so I sat on the sofa and just let them wander around. While hubby pretends not to be watching LOL he quickly found himself in charge of them LOL For fear of them getting into trouble, he quickly retreived them and placed them back into the tub. LOL Whining ensued for a brief while.....but all is now quiet :-))))))))))) I guess this is called "tough love"? LOL

So sweet.---Doglovertoo,I lost my darling old lab on Nov.13 this year and I am still grieving for her.Her name was Susan and she had been with me for 11 1/2 years. She was my companion while my husband wa deployed to Iraq for a year. She was a great comfort to me.I hope with all my heart to be with her in heaven someday.

Yaaaayyy!!! Been checking for updates purty regular today, and here they are! Where to start...GLAD they (and you) made it thru the night so well, and they aren't flea riddled anymore!!! Scratching should improve in a few days, woo-hoo for the vet!
Not to worry doglovertoo, what goes around comes around! I feel sorry and sad for the kind of person who could do this to them...think of the joy they are already missing out on...and I hope the flea curses are sufficient!!! ;-)
GREAT shots of them today despite Blondie's best efforts to thwart the photographer! She is already playing you for attention for all she's worth ;-), and you may notice they curl up together, not entwined but touching and receiving the reassurance of the others presence. Might caution you about giving in to their pleas for attention after bed time, they will settle down and accept that it's different than nap time faster.
I hope they won't have to be separated for a while, not knowing the circumstances of their past, it will probably help them to have a sibling (for lack of a mother) to socialize with, the biting, nipping and growling go a long way toward learning what is acceptable behavior and what isn't. I had some problems initially with my last Golden because she didn't get that education.
I'll be rooting for hubby to come around to wanting to keep them, it's clear they've landed in the best possible situation...after 5 minutes I would have to, have to, HAVE TO keep way could I let them go now!!! Bless YOU and hubby for doing all you have for them! Libby ;-)))

Angelbender, Blackie was by his sister's side, but taking the less vocal approach. However, just now, he too has decided to let it be known that he wants closeness.....not only that of his sister's.

Gemstone, they so want to be wanted and taken care of.

Doglovertoo, I am so sorry that you lost your buddy!!! I know what it is to loose a pet. They become a member of the family. For people that have never experienced the love that you give to a pet and the love that you get from a pet, all I can say is that they have missed out on a blessing!!!!! It is hard to accept that our pets life span is much shorter than ours (in most cases). That means that the time that they fill our lives is one to be cherished. If you have taken in a pet that needed a home and fulfill all of it needs, you are blessed during that time and the pet is also blessed. Two hearts are satisfied during that time and you have the comfort of knowing that you did the best for it and that you know that it most certainly enjoyed the best that you could offer. Like I said, two hearts are made whole and happy. If you know of a pet out there that needs you, and if you can give that pet a life worth living, then everybody wins. Sorry for getting so deep here but that is just the way I feel.

I am sitting here right now, missing my Bandit, my avatar, as he is most upset with the invasion of the puppies. He hasn't given me but one look today, much less the time of day.... and refuses to associate with me. Sophia, my husbands cat, shares the same feelings and lurks in the shadows. We only want what is best for everyone, so time will tell how this will go.

Aaawwww, she isn't spoiled, but needs that warm closeness of her "mommy" part of the time. She may be giving you that Alpha position. Where was Blackie at nap time? Being a cool male, perhaps?

It's so good to see them so accepting and playful...they know someone besides their mother actually loves them.

My heart has been crying out for these darlings since you posted your previous pictures. I lost my darling doggie June 29 of this past year, and I miss him so much - but am not ready to adopt otherwise I would say I would love to have them. I hope you find a loving home for them. God bless you for giving them your TLC.
