Too funny

annjax

Thanks, Tex. Love your story. Funny how, as we begin to get older, things come back to us we hadn't thought of in years. Just the mention of a word--------

And I'm with you, chookies, I never could get the hang of all those dit-ty dot-ty noises or markings, either. Hawhaw! I finally just gave up...............

texasstar7

Thank you, Sis. Glad you like it.

Nanax4

LOL!! Good one, Sis!

texasstar7

Well Ank, I hope so, I've been sending them emails!

puzzeljac

Yes funny, but it was a start. Imagine that our parent came back now. My father died 40 years ago and my mother33. They should not know what is happening now. Or do you think they have computers up there? lol

texasstar7

Well thank you, Warbler! I like your puzzles too! You're welcome, Morris, a blast from the past.

morris186

Yep, technology really has come a long way in a few years, tex!
Interesting story, thanks!

warbler

Another fun puzzle from Taxasstar7!

texasstar7

Morris, in high school I worked at Western Union after school, and it seems so funny now with that little ticker tape that came out of the machine and you had to paste it to the telegram! And the telegraph office was an office in the back of the building of a drugstore and soda fountain! So long ago.

texasstar7

Ha, ha, Morris is that who you were named after? Thanks, Chickie & Morris.

chickiemama

Right tex. I'd like to see some put together a jigsaw puzzle on one of those things.

morris186

morris code, I luv it, tex!!

Thanks!!!

texasstar7

But we have it soooo much better now in so many ways. Other ways, not so much!

robryan

LOL! Good one tex! See - it all goes in cycles!!

texasstar7

Thanks, Chookies, Laurajane, Chickie and Gracie! Remember that song--Western Union by the 5 Americans? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJMwxucTJyo

Graciela

chickiemama

Good one tex.

laurajane

My dad, too, tex. I can hear him now. This is a good one!

chookies

How anyone understood what all the dit, dit, dot, dots meant, always fascinated me! Thanks tex:)

texasstar7

Hee, hee! When I found this, I thought of my Dad always saying "Back in my day..."! Thanks, PLG, JC, Silver and Roseheather! I thought you might get a kick out of this.

roseheather
