Sounds like you and Sally are about to have fun, happy Clay Play ☺☺
Oh, that is good news, Shirley. It's quick to start greening up! Must be a relief to many others too. No cornflakes but banana on toast today. I fear it may slow me down :-) Instead of puzzles we are having a clay day. Sally is making veneers for another landscape and I am going to tidy my half of the work table so I can experiment with an idea I have for laser transfers onto translucent clay. The clearing up may take a while as we dumped all sorts on the table before we left for Oz. Sally cleared her half yesterday so she's already at the table - smart move :-)
Chrissie, it's nice to hear you have been having some rain, I'm happy to report that we have had some lovely rain too in the last couple of days, the paddocks are already starting to green up. I think you do very well with Cornflakes, I'd stick with them if I were you. :)))
Hi Carol, good to see you drop in, I'm here to tell you it doesn't matter if you have Weetbix , Weetabix or any other cereal for brekkie, it's very hard to beat our speedy Chrissie LOL, enjoy your breakfast whatever you have.
Were they ringing with the sound of rainfall less than an hour ago? It was wonderful music! We rather think that we're the ones who are exhausted after trying to keep up with your repartee! You're so sharp we use you for a knife to cut the pancakes :-) Weetabix is the Pommie version. The true blue one is Weetbix... made with good Aussie wheat :-) It can be found online although it's tad expensive. I'll stick with cornflakes!
My ears were ringing, so of course I had to come looking to see if my name got bandied about!I'm definitely a cereal person in the morning - would never get off the dime if I had whole wheat pancakes every day! By the time I plow through that on our mornings for brekkie together, I'm at slow speed for the rest of the day. (Or maybe it's the repartee that exhausts my energy? Gotta be sharp of mind to keep with with Foxy and Smors! And yes indeed there is Weetabix aplenty to be had here!
Oh please don't be offended from what you read here, we're just having a bit of fun with what we like and don't like LOL.
Judy and Shirley, Marmite is but a pale would-be wannabe shadow of Vegemite! There is no comparison. The British tried... but they failed :-))) (I hope not too many Anglophiles read this and object! It is all said in fun, folks!) As for coffee... the smell is divine but I cannot abide the taste. Give me a cup of Aussie Nerada tea any day :-) Shirley - I spread it thinly too... unlike my children who seem to think you put it on with a trowel :-) And Judy? Keep on smiling. It might make wrinkles but it's worth it :-)
Very true, Judy, but not liking coffee, I thought everyone liked coffee :))I'm not a Marmite lover but I do like Vegemite, spread thinly.
I had a friend in England who sent me a jar of the Marmite and we all tried it. None of us cared for it. But I was glad for the chance to try it as it was the topic of discussion a lot.
Isn't it funny how we all have our local customs and flavors. I know many people who don't like coffee, but to me it is the nectar of the gods.
Judy, we Aussies were brought up on it ☺
Can't do without Vegemite in our house, Cereal we can change about. ☺
You ladies can keep your Vegemite. I've tried the Marmite and it was not to my liking. lolThanks again for the smiles. :-))
Too right! As far as I know there are no Weet-bix here but there may be a similar product. I haven't looked as cornflakes suit me fine along with the 'mitey toast :-)
Vegemite on toast, can't beat it, except Weet-bix for a change now and then :))))
Then I am glad to be a fool if it makes you smile, Judy. All part of our Fools R Us service :-)Personally I am guaranteed at least one smile a day. When I wake up and look in the mirror and wonder who is that old woman looking back at me :-)) Shirley, we both know that whole new brekkie menu wouldn't take off. You can't replace Vegemite, mate :-)) Stick with what we know!
Our Chrissie, is full of laugh's Judy :)))
You are so funny, Chrissie, :)) now just think what that would do to my diet :)) I might add you could start a whole new breakfast menu LOL.
:-))Probably the first smile I've had all day. Thanks Chrissy!
There you go, Shirley... lollies for brekkie might lend speed! Jelly beans on toast! Lifesaver kebabs! Think of the possibilities :-)))) @jals Don't mind us, Judy. Shirley and I are having a bit of fun teasing each other about what we had for brekkie and our solve times. Now we have it from you that eating candy might be the trick ;-))
We are still up there, Judy, ☺
:-))A lot of mornings, I don't get breakfast. But most likely I did this later in the day while eating candy. ;-)
Many Thanks, Diane.
Hi Judy, I don't always check on times, but my dear friend Chrissie and I have a little banter between us about solving times and our breakfast menu, so i did notice where we were on the board. and the three of us are still in the three top places. :)
Thanks Shirley, I hadn't noticed. I'm sure I won't be there long, but the view is nice from up here. lol
Many Thanks, Sally, as long as you enjoyed your pancake/sugar free syrup and my puzzle, I don't mind if you don't beat our speedy person sweetie, LOL. :)) ◕◡◕ ♥ ♥
Thank you, Judy, and I see you are in second place on the board, good one, Judy,
Thanks, Chrissie, I'm a Patsy Cline fan from way back, making me an old chook LOL.Bacon and diced red potatoes with onion sounds mighty fine, and put you at the top, but my two weet-bixs put me in third place ( for now) LOL.
Gorgeous, mate.... Well I had the pancakes (Only one with sugar free syrup), too, so that's why you don't see me on the board.... LOL... ◕◡◕ ❤ ◕◡◕
Loved the puzzle and the song, thanks Shirley!
Thanks, Shirley for another little bewdy. Totally appropriate song! I love listening to Patsy Cline. I love songs where you can understand the words too! Oh boy, I'm sounding like an old chook :-) PS In case you were wondering at the solve time, today's brekkie was at iHop and I had bacon and diced red potatoes with onion. A speedy brekkie LOL. Sally and Potatomum had wholegrain pancakes but I think pancakes slow you down :-))
