we praise you, we love you. you are too far away to be pampered - but i do think that a lot of us wouldn't mind papmering you. there must be more men here than you - wonder if they all have a harem there own. LOL
My harem. Pamper me...............pamper me.........................LOL
sorry heidi - i did of course mean kate in san diego. but it is quite easy to get confused with all these wonderful woman around parrotman. lol
Lis, I'm not sure where Heidi lives but it is Kate who lives in San Diego. You must have lovely scenery around you. What they have is better weather!!
Greetings to Heidi with the lovely view. San Diego Bay area is fantastic and so nice and warm. I am 2 km away from the Limfjord and 10 km from the North Sea, but I would love to have a sea view. Must be fantastic to look at all the salty water
Rainwater puddles can be a lot of fun too - best if it's warm rainwater.
I'm only half a mile from the sea so I have the best of both worlds. And the mountains. You are the same as me - sea first then rivers, lakes, reservoirs and puddles.LOL
Yes, I am lucky. My binoculars are right here by my desk - and my desk is facing the windows on the Bay. I can live without many things - but not a view. Rolling hills are great too especially if you are close enough to easily get to the Sea. I love rivers and lakes but it's salt water that owns my soul.
I am also jealous of Heidi's drive and energy!!
katy, you know how jealous i am of the view from your house! i would sit with the binos all day long...............heaven..........!!! I have a lovely view here, looking over the rolling hills, but a sea view (esp. with shipping) is the best. Two of my houses did have sea views. As long as you enjoy the pics, you are a member of the "groupies". ;
If I were able to be a "groupie" I'd be honored to be associated with S Heidi. I love your knowledge and energy and enthusiasm Heidi.
I do love this pic but I'm actually not much of a "groupie" - just a great and independent "liker" of your tug and salvage pics and comments. if I had been in the business, I'm sure I would have been like you and preferred the international work and travel - but I have a view of San Diego Bay and so I appreciate watching the work of the harbor (insert u if you must) tugs. A lot of shipping comes in and out of this Bay. Watching the tugs and listening to the fog horns pull at my soul.
I'm the same, Heidi. I did some harbour work, (probably more crewmen killed and injured doing this) but much preferred international towing and salvage.
Thanks for the comment.
Thank you! I love being called a ''tug groupie''!
My affection is for the deep sea salvage tugs, not the hard working little harbor tugs. While admirable, they don't have the danger and romance of the ocean going boats.
