Another stroll through the antique mall.

The Staffordshire spaniels, popular as mantle decorations in the mid-1800s, are likely reproductions.

As one expert offers this droll observation: If all Staffordshire spaniel figurines were genuine, the clay required for their manufacture would have left England the size of a teacup.

@MarinaNephele They are still amazingly popular decorative items.

Goodness! I didn't know anything about them! Thanks. I'll look them up!

@unicorn3 Indeed! I was especially taken with the setter bookends partially seen on the far right.

They are so beautiful. Just look at all those lovely things on that table. - Wendy

@JillianB Thanks. Bustin' out after lunch for an overdue pedicure! Hope to be rid of the bulky dressing on the arm tomorrow AM and to trade it for a lighter, removable version for the next phase of recovery.

They do still make a cute display though. Another tasteful display table, thanks Jerry. Hope cabin fever is not rising. :-))

@Brian666 Sip carefully, Mr. Ambassador, sip carefully!

Have a great day Sir Jerry, cheers from the teacup island across the pond .......B
