Thanks @ashanhu
You have to love the sound of a saxophone played by someone who knows what they're doing. Candy Dulfer is one of the best. Of course she is also playing one of the best saxophones ever made, a Selmer Mark VI.

@Bekkabee - no, just played through middle school and then stopped. A few years ago I started playing again, but just for myself.

Bekkabee

Hey racoonstar, I enjoyed the link -- thank you!! Did you play professionally?

Play us a tune, racoonstar!

Yes I did read the description of this being a C Melody sax. My comment was just about what my dad had and played. The image brought back memories. Cheers Yolanda

JillianB

Lovely instrument, do love the sounds of the sax. TFS

racoonstar

While this does have the 'crooked' neck like a Tenor saxophone, it's actually a C Melody sax.
It's between a Tenor and an Alto in size.

My dad played the tenor sax as well as the piano and double bass. I remember the blue velvet of the inside of the sax case very clearly. Thanks for the memories. Cheers Yolanda

racoonstar

Yes. :D
