We had been feeding the puppies canned food and it seemed to be upsetting their tummies, so we are now trying dry puppy food.

Oh, guess who I heard HOWL last night! LOL LOL LOL It was bedtime but somebody was spending her first night alone, and she let us know that she was not happy about it. I finally pulled off my socks that I had been wearing and put them in the tub with her. After that, things settled down and those little eyes got heavy :-)

Callie Lou is adorable. What you have done to find good homes for the pups is heart warming. It's been a pleasure solving these puzzles. Thanks. (:18)

In case the comment below is missed somehow on the other puzzles.....please allow me to post it on each of the adventures of Callie Lou and her brother............

I am THANKFUL for soooooooooooo many things!!!!!!!! I stumbled into Jigidi not so long ago. Not only has Callie Lou found a community filled with support, well wishes, wisdom, sharing, caring, tips and warmth, it has become so evident to me too :-)))))))))) I am so thankful for Jigidi and all of its wonderful people. What a great way for everyone to start off the new year. I am thrilled to have been part of Calli Lou's and her brothers life and the oppertunity to share it with the world. For such tiny pups, they have indeed traveled all around the world. The love that wasn't there from their beginning has now been multiplied beyond count and we all embrace their future with high hopes. I am so greatful for Libby welcoming Callie into her home and heart!!!!! My husband stands tall in my eyes for all that he has done for these little guys. His very first emergency trip to the vets office to find something to combat the fleas, another trip that night for oatmeal shampoo aftr learning fleas might could jump 6 feet LOL LOL LOL, the early morning visit to the vet to get their first shots and deworming, the trips to fetch food and toys LOL, his tender heart, and his patience with me through all this, makes him one special guy in my book!!!! He has always been good to me. God blessed me with my husband and our son and He has always had His hand in my life!!!!! I learned a good while back that when we ask of Him things and it seems that He doesn't answer, that we are often asking for the wrong things. I am sure many of you have seen this in your lives too? Sometimes we just need to change what we are asking for and then do some searching for what He has already provided for us. He has promised to supply us with every need. We just have to do our part and search out those supplies that He already has in place.

I am delighted that the story of these two little pups have touched so many lives. I am thankful for each of you that have shared in their journey and best of all, we all have something good to look forward to because of Libby. Who could ask for more? LOL

So here is to ALL of Jigidi and to the future!!!!!!! :-)))))))))))))))))))) Hugs and appreciation all around with more to come :-)))))))))))))

You might also try a bit of lanolin in the rinse water...or a wee drop of sunflower or vitamin E oil on her food...but not much as it might loosen her bowels at first 'til her system adjusts. :)))

You made the right decision in not giving her to a person who keeps their dogs in pens. Why
have a dog if you keep it outside in a pen? Dogs are to live in a home with loving
parents or parent. I live in Illinois and it is quite cold here today, and my dog don't
even want to be out for a few minutes. I stay out with her till she does her things,
but then its right back in the house, and one of her beds. Those pups are so cute,
and you did the right thing in taking them in. Oatmeal baths are great, that is
what I get for my dog. Hope everything works out for Bella, she is a sweet little
thing. Thank you for updating everyone, as we are all interested and care.

I found out about this from Kirsten's puzzles. I only look at Favorites when I search puzzles, and somehow you were not in my Favorites. Shame on me! What a wonderful thing you've done for these dogs. As a cat lover who only has rescue cats, I admire you so much for what you're doing. I hope everything turns out well for the remaining puppy.

Wishing you the best of everything that you wish for in 2013.

For those who have wondered, we live in southwest Georgia. Albany, Georgia is about an hour to our north and then Valdosta, Georgia is about and hour south of us. If the trucker guy doesn't work out, I am glad to know that some of you have the heart and the capacity of love to embrace her. While it will pain me dearly to let her go, I want only the best for her. We would be more than glad to meet you halfway if I can not find a suitable forever home around our neck of the woods!

My husband and I want to wish each and everyone the very best in the upcoming year!!!!! The support and the fun that I have enjoyed and been blessed with, since joining Jigidi
these past few months, has brought much pleasure and happiness. I look forward the the upcoming year now only minutes away............

Thank each of you for supporting our decision to not place her with the people that had so many dogs and kept them in pens outside.

Bella got another bath awhile ago. Since her visit to the vet this morning revealed that her itching is caused from dry skin, I decided to try something. I know that too many baths will dry their skin out even more so I chose the oatmeal shampoo again and then rinsed real well. Next came my experiment which seems to be doing ok. I use unscented Neutrogena Light Sesame Body Oil. It isn't overly greasy and I find that it works wonders for my skin. After rinsing her well, I ran warm water in the tub and squirted some of the oil into the water. I then poured the warm water over her letting her soak up its benefits and towel dried her. I am glad to say that her fur looks really quiet nicely LOL LOL LOL An ever so small tinge of grease but not really even noticeable. Hubby did not even notice it when he got home awhile ago LOL It was an experiment that thankfully turned out well. Don't know if it will completely stop the itching, but hopefully will give her some relief. Has anyone ever tried anything like this before? Or anyone know anything to use for dry skin on a puppy?????? I will let everyone know how her scratching is tomorrow and if this seems to help :-)

Thank all of you again for your support, help, and caring!!!! It warms and thrills my heart to see and to know that Pet Lovers Unite and will watch over God's creations!!!!!!!

Happy New Year Hummingbird59 to you and your husband. What ever you decide for Blondie I hope that she and her brother have a good life with a forever family. It sounds like you made a good decision against having that lady with all of the caged dogs as her new family. It sounds like they are dog hoarders. You don't adopt an dog just to keep it caged up all the time. I've enjoyed seeing the photos of the puppies and reading the updates.

Here's hoping the trucker works out for Bella - she'd certainly have an interesting life!!! Thanks for the updates - & I hope you & your family have a Happy New Year!!

Bella knows how to HOWL!!! LOL Must go check on her and have some puppy breath time......please please excuse me yet again???...................................

I too hope that the new modem will do the trick LOL

Let me give all of you and update for today. When the trucker guy was a no show, and then our decision not to let the other lady have her because they had numerous other dogs that were kept in pens, it was back to us keeping her. But since she is part Lab, I fear that the alligators in the pond would eat her if she went for a swim, coupled with us living next to the highway that my husband found the puppies, we would need a fenced in back yard to keep her safe....which we don't have. It has been an emotional roller coaster ride with trying to decide whethr or not to keep her. But the latest news is that the trucker guy might end up with her after all.

Here is what happened today. It turned out that my husband was calling the wrong number yesterday when he was trying to get in touch with the guy. He finally realized his mistake and dialed the right number. The guy saw where we had tried to call him, so he called us back early this morning and hubby told him he could still have her. He came right on out. BUT....I was royally ticked at not hearing from him yesterday.....I would have expected a call saying that he was unable to come right then and would come for her today......but come to find out, he was in a section of Florida where he did not have reception. Anyway, being the grump pot that I am early in the morning, I made some hard fast rules. He could come and look at her but he could not take her home with him today. I want to test him to see if he keeps his word about getting her tomorrow. The poor little thing is still scratching like crazy, so back to the vet she went after he left. The vet took about 20 minutes with her but saw no reason to prescribe anything. He said that her skin was just dry and causing the itching. Probably the massive flea infestation didn't help either.

Anyway, Bella is still with us and we will see if she goes home with the guy tomorrow. There will still be some rules though. If he will let us take a picture of him holding her, give us his address, and promise to check in with us or let us call him, then I will feel better about letting her go. I so want to keep her, but like I said, I am afraid that something would happen to her due to the pond and road issue.

I do know one thing......this guy is going to have to prove himself worthy of her before I let him take her. If you are thinking that I can be a grump pot at times then you would be right. I fight hard when something comes down to "the principle of the thing!!!"

A ticking clock and/or a hot water bottle sometimes helps with little ones...such a great shot! :)))

Don't cha just want to snuggle with her all day?
Thanks for keeping us up-to-date. Hope you get your internet issues resolved.

I did indeed loose my internet last night while trying to get these puzzles out and answering comments. Windstream got another call LOL as I was pretty ticked about the instability of my internet. Work is still going on with the lines but the tech support guy put us down to have a repairman come out today and check everything on our end. Low and behold, MY MODEM has been at fault. The repairman just left and I now have a new modem AND INTERNET!!!!!!!!! YESSS!!!!!!!

We always use a stuffed baby with our new ones, and its works fine.

Awww....the sweet little puppy!

very cute LOL glad the little one told u bout it
