Gracie, Jacques will never make it by the 25th, unless it's Dec. 25 of next year! You know how he lollygags around! Thanks, PLG, and Robbie, somehow that lady reminds me of you, the sentiment, anyway! Thanks David, for the info, and thanks everyone for sharing a chuckle with me!
We use it in our Christmas Cakes, Desserts and everyones favorite, Rum Balls, A little bit of Christmas spirit makes for a good time. Thanks texasstar.
When our group was on tour in Europe, one day we boarded the bus and a singer had a little bottle of local spirits called Becherovka (Czech) or Becker's (German). He told us not to say anything but just to take a taste and pass the bottle around. Then, when we had all tasted it, he asked, "What does it taste like?" Everybody, Christians, Jews and Atheists, called out "Christmas!" It tastes like Christmas. It isn't imported in the US, I don't know why. It's awfully good Christmas spirits...
Years later, I brought a gift box (bottle of Becherovka and souvenir glasses) home from Poland in my luggage. When I got home and opened the suitcase, it had broken and all I had was a bag full of clothes that smelled like: Christmas!
