And, maybe he is just bed ridden and can't get to a desk top computer. He does like being the invisible man, tho. I wish the best for him. Thank you for the personal note, mpp. Sorry I've been away from the computer a lot lately. :)

Carol, so good to hear from you! The time I spent on my hair - woefully uncooperative - saddens me now, but I guess we all did it.

Joe seems to be doing okay - he posted pictures of his granddaughter. I think he'll give us an update soon. I AM worried about John - he's been a no-show for a couple days and hasn't responded to my two emails. He really is invisible...

Nanab, I did give Joycey a baby belly rub this evening while currying and feeding the horses. It was from you. You are so lucky with your hair. Mine is a lot thinner than it was when I was young. Bah.
I just saw the link you sent me about Joe. I sure hope he is doing OK now. Thanks!
MPP, I sure had cringe-worthy (love the word) frizzy and damaged hair when my mom had me get electric-curler permanents. Unfortunately, there are pictures...

This was the '60s, and twenty years later, it was lots of frizz, curls, teasing. Fortunately, there are no pictures of me with a cringe-worthy hairstyle (I may have had bad hair, there just aren't pictures...)

Sandra, we all wasted time and money on foolishness. Live and learn...

We did this too in our dorm at university, but put a damp tea towel between my hair and the steam iron. And I slept with Scotch Tape on my bangs. Also cut both ends out of Campbell's Soup tins and used 5 of them as rollers for my whole head. They straightened my long locks and gave them body as well. ….. hahaha …. we were so focused on all the wrong things back then... although I partook in a sit-in to protest the war and went braless ...giving up my personal support to support the early feminist movement. … That was all in the late sixties …….. Hi Carol!
I had long hair back then, I'm 65 now and have shoulder length hair. I'm fortunate to still have my natural color, both of my parents never really grayed, everyone thinks I dye my hair so I actually have to show them some grays that I do have!
Joes surgery is today Carol, did you see the puzzle mpp posted yet?
Take care and give Joycey a baby belly rub for me.

Very interesting information, mpp! Thanks! -- Carol

BB, you are so lucky to have long hair. I wish my hair would grow longer than just below my shoulder blades. I hope your hair wasn't too damaged by the iron. LOL -- Carol

I always had long, straight hair, (think Cher) and I actually DID this! Crazy!
I can smell the burning hair just looking at this. lol

Seems logical to me....
