Nkot - Delusion

Jean-David Nkot is an artist from Douala, Cameroon. He studied at the Institut des beaux-arts de Foumban, Cameroon. Much of his art is political and depicts victims of war and violence, for example "stamps" of victims with the name of different weapons of war in the background; it would probably not be allowed on jigidi, but please visit his facebook page if you would like to see more. This specific painting laments the fact that Cameroonians must often exile themselves to France or elsewhere and take on menial jobs in order to provide for themselves and their family.
