Chillon Castle is an island castle at the eastern end of Lake Geneva. It is situated on the narrow shore between Montreux and Villeneuve, which gives access to the Alpine valley of the Rhône. Chillon is amongst the most visited medieval castles in Switzerland and Europe. Successively occupied by the House of Savoy then by the Bernese from 1536 until 1798, it now belongs to the State of Vaud.

bEAUTIFUL PICTURE !! Thank you. 5-3-23 Bev.

It is an interesting castle. There is a place on the lower level where they sort of have a jail where they can keep people for things they have done wrong. Interesting history. This place is also sort of on the eastern lower end Switzerland. I think the mountain and land you see is part of Italy.
