Our view from the restaurant. From here we went to book into our hotel that we had booked and paid for months earlier, only to be turned away because we had not been in Australia for 14 days (was 12 at that point). A few days earlier their PM had announced that anyone arriving in Australia from the 15th March would need to self isolate for 14 days, we had arrived on the 5th March, they had it wrong but wouldn’t budge. Was a leper like experience, horrible, when we asked what we should do their reply was “Not our problem”. Was our only bad experience all trip. Fortunately we still had the number of the place we had stayed when we had arrived at start of trip, rang and they had a vacancy, welcomed us with open arms and were horrified at our treatment. Not only that, they didn’t charge us, was so lovely. Flew out next morning

Quite a large area so very nice for a walk Taisia. Thank you

davitai

I would like to be here for a walk! It looks very relaxing and refreshing.

JillianB

@jerrys can totally understand your frustration with your ‘leader’

JillianB

Thanks Val, was such a lovely long view. And yes thankfully an act of kindness made a big difference.

@JillianB Gurl... i just read a news source...I want your PM as my Pres/Emperorwannabe or what ever he is. She has a PLAN to recharge the NZ economy. I have my winged monkeys en route to pick her up and to drop him halfway to Guam.

I'm so pleased you found some kindness Jill, that is shocking behaviour for people who depend on tourists. Thanks and hugs my friend. ♥♥

MarinaNephele

Lovely view of the park, so green and nice. Sorry about the terrible experience you had from the rude hotel staff. I only hope you've managed to get a refund of them.

JillianB

Yes Dave was a bit stressful for a bit there, but did work out well.

JillianB

You are absolutely right Robbie.

What beautiful gardens. I'm glad you still had the number where you originally stayed and they treated y'all like human beings. There are still some good people in this world.
