Ok thanks Jeri!! Wish I knew her aunt's name!! As I said I will let you know what I find out on the Discussion puzzle. Going to try and get some rest, I need it!! Luv ya!! :))
Back in Feb. of THIS year I asked Patrick where were Lori's mom and dad and he said they died within a couple of years of each other. So go back more than just 2016... It's Lori's aunt that stays with her at the hospital. She is a retired nurse. I'll go and find that email...
Wasn't my doing. Irene emailed and told me Lori's father had died in February. The obit had them all listed. So I will try and get info tomorrow and let you know what I find.
Ha, Sir Joe I understand but we must all hope she pulls through. Like you I do miss her. Now too late for me as bed is calling for me. Will respond to you tomorrow as I will not be at work but the time difference is always our problem. So good night my friend hope to see you tomorrow.
I agree Sir Joe. but we must wait and see. I do hope she recovery's from her problems and enjoys life again to the full. Also I hope Patrick gets back to you at some stage to let us know how Lori is getting on, but it most be taking a toll on him as well. Sadly.
Ha, so sad Jeri and Sir Joe I myself do miss Lori as I do my ancient Roman (Patricia). But I have lost so many friends over the years and it still upsets me. I can name them all, but sadly it does not bring them back.
@wjl1015 @magsIII I was thinking about Lori today and went to her site to look at some of her puzzles. This was the best. Enjoy... but get the tissues out.
Thanks Joe! I'll be going away a couple of days, back by Sunday...I will have a lot of catching up to do! Hope you are feeling better! All My Best Wishes To You! ~ Lori
Me too! I say "I will check that out"...then get waylaid by so many things! I LOVE the Red-Sox and 'Fenway' is my church. My god-parents sold sausages at a cart in Fenway! :) Right now praying for Billy Joel tix @ Fenway Aug 18th! (I know its prob. wrong to 'pray' for concert tix, but,... well, there ya have it!) I agree about the Sox...'betta late than neva!' :)
I can't believe I let it slip my mind since I've been so curious about where folks live, and mostly I've seen West Coasters, a few from mid country, etc. So, you've been to the Centrum (big smile on my face)--and Stevie Nicks ~ yeah, that was worth the ride!
And, hey! anyone say what they want about the Red Sox, but they've won like 8 World Series -- so it takes them a while, so what?
We've got so much history here, right 'homie'? Good to know ya! ~Maggie from MA~
"Boston, you're my home!" ♫ love it! I remember the Worcester Centrum...Stevie Nicks! (Long drive, but SO worth it!) ... your 'homie' ~ Lori [I can be so s.l.o.w., I'll have to read your profile page!] :)
Lori! Yeah I live in MA (says it on my profile page, I think) -- in Worcester County! Big fist bump, neighbor! Yup, Fort Devens -- of course, now it's mostly low-income housing and such. I actually set up a client of mine there a few years ago. It's just not the same without all the soldiers milling about.
You know, I too thought I saw you mention somewhere that you lived north of Boston -- I meant to comment, but I guess I got distracted with all the other fun chit chat. Pretty cool ~
~Maggie from Massachusetts~ (and, hey -- "Love that dirty water!")
My Pleasure, my friend. Truly. ~ Lori [on another post, can't remember which, thought I read you went to Fort Devens? My father worked there for a time? Are you from MA? I live just North of Boston.] ???
I laugh more on Joe's Place (and now this "annex") lately than anywhere else. Joe, you don't have to remove the "L" song from your jukebox -- otherwise, you'd have to remove "Let it Be" and "Hey Jude"!!
It was a really sweet gesture anyway, Joe. Hey, with you as the inspiration, we can include a Musicians Who Do Comedy section... OK, STOP Maggie!!
I love the revised edition Lori!! And I got a lot more than Three Chuckles reading all the comments!! Everyone is welcome at "Joe's Place". All you need is an appreciation of music and if you play that's great too! I just got the juke box in and I had to get them to take out "L O L A". You're welcome Maggie!
Thanks Lori •◡• ~ think I have a lot of those "One Hit Wonders" in my head ... and sometimes by chance I learn about their artists. Looking ahead to Joe's upcoming new wonder series :-))) ~ singing greets ☺
Aw Shucks 'mushy' Maggie! Thank you for your kind words! (Crying happy tears)...I no-longer listen to Dr's, LPNs or PTs...I go directly to the source..other patients! Many have told me this can be a 'temporary side-effect' of back/neck surgery, and that just days after stopping the medication, normal muscle functions return. Need to continue meds for @ least 90 dys. Can't complain..many I have met have much higher mountains to climb than I do. And I love "Joe's Place"..you were the inspiration! (But since I have ZERO musical talent, I will serve-up the coffee/tea! (hot & cold!) I will enjoy just listening to you & Joe (and anyone with talent) play & sing! "See ya' at Joe's Place" ~ Lori
Oh NO! You will think of me every time you doodle?? That image needs to get out of my head, roflmao!
BTW, I don't think you realize that you've given me "honorable mention" twice. Some time back, I just started calling the History puzzle pages Joe's Place -- it was easier that way when talking with other folks. I told Joe about it, and it stuck! Makes me feel good that you also started referring to it that way, and then there were two of us passing it on. Now, with this wonderful artwork, you have made it REAL.
It makes me feel good to be a part of all this and to have met all you super folks. Lori, you are such a strong and determined person. I'm hearing bits and pieces about the disability you cope with, and I'm seeing how you make every effort to rise above it. You're an inspiration, just so you know.
OK, that's enough with the "mushy." Hugs to you ... ~Maggie~
Not an artist, can't grasp a pen or anything in my right hand right now, just found 'Windows Paint' with LOTS of help from irisriver and miau! I've used/read the word doodle just about every day since I've found jigidi! Now, it is 'forever changed' (Ha Ha Ha) I will think of you now every time I doodle! (HUGE SMILES!!!) I admit it! At LEAST "Three Chuckles"! ☺ ☺ ☺
Lori -- at one point I published an image I called "doodley-doo," and I found nothing funny about it (I may even have published one prior that was just called "Doodle") -- anyway, the reason I cracked up has to do with how you started the sentence (won't ruin in for miau). Now it will forever be funny! Admit it--it's worth at least "Three Chuckles."
Hi miau...the "One Hit Wonders" are a singer or singers who had just one real "hit" ... or those songs we know all the music/lyrics, and can sing along with, but have no-clue of the artist(s). And the reason I can't say 'doodle' w/o laughing is best explained by Maggie on MusicManJoe's post of 'One Hit Wonder' (The Three Chuckles) ☺ ☺ ☺ ~ Lori
LORI! You are full of surprises -- a comedian AND an artist? This is beautiful, and such a sweet tribute to Joe's Place. Thank you as well for the "honorable mention."
Hihi ~ you made me laugh Lori ~*o*~ when I saw the thumbnail I thought "Hey great - an update on Joe's Place ... proudly presenting tonight ... " ~ hugs dear ~ ❛ᴗ❛
