Halifax, Nova Scotia...approaching The Citadel

An introduction to The Citadel:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkzZcvSVpKw

In June we travelled by rail from Vancouver (British Columbia) to Montreal (Quebec) where we spent five nights. We then took an overnight train to Moncton (New Brunswick). Next we drove to Prince Edward Island, Cape Breton (Nova Scotia), and flew home from Halifax.

As we both know, there is definitely "someone" who likes fences!! :-)))

Let's see...next trip...chimneys for Joyce, and stairs for Pam...and I think someone else likes fences... ;DDD

gogogo

Love this view, thank you, Faye! I tend to like pix of stairs... :-))

You're welcome, Andie. I'm wondering how much The Citadel suffered when Hurricane Dorian hit Halifax...we never heard much...the news just covered the collapsing crane atop a building under construction. ❤️❤️❤️

I like the mixture of old (the stone steps and balustrade) and new (the buildings) .
The info about the citadel is very interesting and those buildings do have an air of "déjà vu" , like those forts along the coasts in Brittany and Normandy.
Thanks Faye♥☺♥☺♥

It does, Suzy...this might have been part of the Scotia Bank complex...which you'll see in another picture. :D

Well, you must have needed it, Ardy. Winston Churchill used to take 15-20 minute power naps between his appointments to rejuvenate himself during the war years...and a lot of top notch executives do it, too, so you must be one of those power brokers I've heard about. ;)))
We enjoyed The Citadel, too...just wish your ticket admitted you a second day. ❤️

This clock tower had been under restoration the past year, Jill, so the new grass was still being protected. We took this picture from a city square...one building of which you'll see tomorrow. :D

Great photo. Great view. TFS

Must be a good relaxing puzzle, Faye. I was sitting here looking at the completed picture and fell asleep. I visited The Citadel on one visit. Thanks. Good memories. ♥♥

That red building on the right reminds me of the touches of red in Montreal. :)))
