Some of our 1000 (I kid you not, I counted!) azeleas planted by the original homeowner in the 1920s. Lots of work for 3 weeks of bloom, but they’re spectacular

Your azaleas are indeed spectacular. And you get to enjoy them for three weeks every year.
What work is involved in maintaining these old beauties?

Branford,CT.....on the shore just east of New Haven. Picture was taken May 16.....mid May is always the best, provided no heavy rains bleach out the colors. The deer do nibble some leaves early spring when they’re hungry, but never do enough damage to notice...fortunately they don’t care for daffodils either as we have hundreds of them also.

Where and when was this picture taken? Beautiful. You must not have a problem with deer.
