My hubby loved this car, Micha, they don't build them like this any more, thank you (✬◡✬)

Mary and dj, yes it was a wonderful trip, although I did not want to leave Chicago and was never very happy in LA. But the adventure of travel lives on and is still a part of my life, but not like you, Mary.

Awesome auto
@Mischa, speaking of memories, that was quite a big one. Thanks for sharing. I love Route 66, some strange and wonderful things on it.

What a wonderful trip that must have been. This car is splendid. I'll take one. :-)) dj

I rode from Chicago to Los Angeles in a 1937 120 sedan, with my parents and pulling a loaded trailer . Route 66 and a '37 Packard... I wish I had been old enough to appreciate more of the trip, but I remember quite a bit, especially the bag of radiator water hanging off the front somehow and the Indian pottery we bought along the way.

Such wonderful cars - smooth, luxurious and nearly silent. Packard built quality cars for discerning people. I do wish that the chromed radiator shell and fender-mounted directional signals had not been added. Still, a lovely automobile.
