I love you guys! So many animal lovers on here. My 16 yr old probably doesn't have a whole lot of life left in him, mostly deaf and totally blind since last summer but he still wags his tail when I come home so I'm keeping him til he decides it's time to go, not me.
When I had to have my dog put down due to the ravages of old age, he died with his head cradled in my arms. I would not have had it any other way. He had been a family member for over 13 years.
How very true. Pets are a responsibility you take on when you adopt them. Anyone who treats them bad should be treated accordingly. Thanks for sharing..
We've done a lot of rescue work with animals -- mostly horses and dogs (but add a few goats...) and the problems we have had to deal with because people DIDN'T care about the animals they owned is enough to break your heart. So I love this puzzle.
That goes for ALL of my pets. They may not be perfect pets, but I took on the responsibility to love them and their imperfections all the way through their lives. Thank you for sharing.
