I love trees especially their trunks and bark. This one was taken on St. Lucia in the Caribbean. I assumed it was a strangler fig or something similar. I love the idea that trees can communicate with each other to warn of danger, e.g. insect plagues, forest fires and earthquakes. There is so much about this wonderful world of ours that we do not understand.
