I prefer to BUY those ultra soft chenille gloves now and just stick to knitting the hats and scarves. :) RebeccaB 26 January 2020 Just between you an me, margitsz, I just spent almost 2 weeks TRYING to make a pair of mittens. Sizing problems. I made 6 until I got one that was right. Then the 7th I knit MUCH too loose (?? SOO unlike me!), so that was ripped out too. #8 was going OK until I reached the tips of the fingers (knitted from the cuff), time to decrease and I had many too many stitches! ???! Went back and checked everything, could NOT find the error in spite of the fact that it must've been big (6 or7 extra stitches). I've been known to say "Yarn tells you what it wants to be." I had a strong vision of this as mittens & a hat, but finally had to admit, it was telling me it did NOT want to be that!! I'm making a hat & scarf instead, and it's going OK so far. But I don't usually make puzzles of my failures! LOL margitsz 26 January 2020 RebeccaB, thank you for your comment. I follow your puzzles because of your AMAZING knit/crocheted works of art. Yes, this WAS a very challenging pattern to knit; I had to stay alert but didn't feel too pressured about mistakes since I was making it for myself. I like to created my own designs using several colors and have learned to "trick" myself and weave in loose ends as I go instead of doing it all when it's finished! :) RebeccaB 23 January 2020 That looks so difficult! Super job! (Tons of ends to work in??) Why this advertisement?
