Tonight mid grade gas cost us about 3.15 per gal.at the Kroger store in Mid.TN. --A little less than you pay.Guess I should be happy but i's still too much!!!Maybe I'm a "grumpy ole woman"LOL

Thanks Ank and goingsilver. Perhaps your cars are designed better too, You probably get more km per litre. And then there are the electric cars and hybrids. Anyway, we all do the best we can with what we have where we are!

Thanks cevas. Hmm, Ank and I definitely live on the wrong side of the Atlantic as far as fuel prices are concerned! I try and drive more economically these days too Ank. I mourn the time when it was a shock having to pay 1 pound for a gallon! Oh, those were the days.....

That's why I stopted driving fast. The faster you drive the more gas you use. I don't drive as an "old lady" but I try to drive frugal. And I know now that I can drive 100km with 1.5 litre less as that I used to do.

Hi goingsilver. 1.38 pounds sterling for 1 litre is $2.22 US per litre. So 2.22 X 3.785 = $8.40 US per gallon. You and Ank both pay a lot for gasoline! But, of course, you knew that.

Hi cevas. I paid UK sterling £1.38 for 1 litre, but at this time of night, I can't convert to US dollars!

The price of gasoline here is $1.30 (Can) per litre. There are 3.785 litres in one US gallon. So, 1.30 X 3.785 = $4.92 (Can) per gallon.
The Canadian dollar and the US dollar are just about equal. So we pay $4.92(US) per gallon.

Ank, in the Netherlands you pay $8.52 (US) per gallon.
Goingsilver, how much did you pay for gas or petrol in the UK?
Snowbunny, where are you and how much do you pay?

That is a tantalising view of the mountains, but I am at risk of turning into a grumpy old woman having had to fill my car up with petrol today!

Hi Cathy, that's what I also wanted to ask. Is 1,29 the price of one litre? Over her we pay about Am$ 2.25 now, I don't know how much that is in Can$.

In the distance you can see the two mountain peaks called the Lions. That is where we get the names of the Lions Gate Bridge and Lions Gate Hospital etc.
