Good luck Dawn! That sounds like a wise choice. When are you having it done? You should be able to drive home. My husband couldn't get off work so I drove myself home and I had both hands with 4 fingers bandaged up. lol
Judy, We are going to do my left thumb first instead of the right. The ringworm is much improved but it's best to not tempt fate. I haven't been contacted yet by surgery as to what time to get there. It's supposed to be done with a local so I hope to drive myself. The hospital is close by my home.
Hi Michelle, Just got home from a 3 day trip. My hands are progressing. The incision site is still tender and the fingers still swell, but I think all that is normal. Took me 6 - 7 months last time before everything was back to normal. Thanks dear friend! ♥
lovely yummy puzzle dear judy, how are you doing? hope you are recovering well ♥♥ xxx good luck dear dawn and hope your infection has cleared up - i guess they do one at a time in case one is not successful ♥♥♥♥
Really? That's interesting that you've never heard the term Dutch uncle before. Judy....I have an itchy round spot of skin on the top of my right hand. I think it's ringworm. I applied a patch soaked with apple cider vinegar for 2 hours last night and this morning. (Internet advice) I'll go to the pharmacy today and get an antifungal ointment with the advice of a pharmacist. I know that they won't do surg. on my hand as long as it's there.
Dawn, That's interesting. Did you tell him you had a friend who had 4 done at once? lol I didn't want to have to pay to use the procedure room at the hospital again. That gets expensive. I did injections with my first two trigger fingers and it didn't really do much for me, so the doctor didn't insist on that. Good luck! Nothing to be nervous about. Yes, I do move them a lot, stretch them, and massage the incision sites. I also have a little squeeze ball that helps. Also, I had to look up the Dutch uncle reference, I don't think I've heard that before. I like it. lol
Right thumb surgery On Oct. 4th using a local anesthetic. Had to talk like a Dutch Uncle. He wanted to do an injection to both thumbs but I was able to talk him into doing the surg. He wouldn't do both at the same time. I will have the left thumb done a couple of weeks later. He also stress exercising my hand a lot after surg. Hope your moving your hands so you have good range of motion to your fingers.
Hubby is making some kind of dessert right now. Not sure. He tried a recipe out of a book a couple years ago and made substitutions and it was really good and now we haven't been able to figure out what he did. lol I bought some premade pie crust the other day and thought about a raspberry pie.
