This is a beautiful photo, red barns are always attractive puzzles but partnered with this fabulous apple tree in full blossom it is superb. Thank you Beekay

pumpkinhead

The barn is red to go with the red apples on the tree. Duh.

jan42ful

Beautiful thanks BK and yes that makes sense to have red barns. hugs. ♥

bluebird42

Red is easier to see if you have to find the barn to feed the animals in a white-out blizzard. That's my take.

goingsilver

Lovely! Thanks Beekay.

Thanks, BeeKay. It does answer the question nicely. Apparently I'm not the only one to ask that question. ☺ Makes a lot of sense as does the color in winter. Helps make a lovely photo too. ♥♥♥

Beekay

@ringleader ...I believe this article will answer your question nicely.

Also, I think the red paint was preferred over white here in New England because we have so much white in the winter with the snow cover. The contrast of a warm red color over cool white was a deciding factor.

The area has lost so many barns it's becoming rare to see one in such good condition as this one. Thanks everyone for stopping by to enjoy the puzzle and to leave a comment.☺♥☺

Barns and boxcars, a good weathering paint at a cheap price.

Wonderful photo, BeeKay. So relaxing. Almost makes me feel warm. I know barns seem to be traditionally red. Is there a reason? Just curious. Thanks, dear friend. ♥♥♥

Picture perfect!

Beautiful, by the look of the blossoms on the apple tree there will be plenty of apples to store in the red barn :)) Thanks, BeeKay.

bluebird42

It's a beautiful scene, Beekay. Thank you.
