It'll make a change for me. I have been reading almost nothing but Japanese literature for some years now (sadly not in the original language).

You are welcome. I have not read this yet, but look forward to it! It is about a salmon named Salar (latin for "leaper") and his migration through the rivers of Devon. "A tale based partly on fact and partly on fiction. Fraught with dangers..cruising lampeys, poachers, sharp-eyed otters, cascading falls etc. seeing life through the eyes of the animals." I have read that it is not a spec. childrens book, but "appeals to all." Will try to find at my library. Recommended by Megabelle2000, (after watching the Alaska live-cam of the bears & the salmon) INCREDIBLE BTW! ☺thnx Dilubreuer, irisriver & Patricia! (next will be 'Tarka') ☺ ~ Lori

I must ask my ex (ex-fiancé - with whom I'm still very good friends), a very keen fisherman, whether he has read this book. I have, of course, read 'Tarka the Otter'. I have only ever fished for wild trout and salmon trout, but I'm sure I would enjoy this! Thank you, Lori!

irisriver

Happy reading! Grins and smiles!☺♥☺

What's the book about Lori?
